Good for a vacation

I would recommend the lodge for private travel or a vacation but not for business travel. The mobile signal was terrible and the wifi did not reach the room I was in. It would be great if I wanted some alone time without any disturbances as I was unreachable during my time there.

Zeer fijne rustige locatie

Heel mooie locatie om enkele dagen de rust op te zoeken tussen wat wilde(re) dieren, een zachte kennismaking met wat een echte Safari zou kunnen betekenen. Het ontvangst was zeer hartelijk en de service laat niets te wensen over. Goed voor een kort verblijf om even op plooi te komen.

Beautiful and super friendly staff

We had a really great stay. Ditholo is beautifully situated. We loved how quiet and beautiful it was! The staff was super friendly and the food delicious. Were super happy with our stay and we would definitely recommend it. Also, if you are an allergic person such as myself, it is a great place. Staff was so helpful and accommodating. From a allergy perspective they got the highest score possible.

Friendly staff but poor access

The hotel was good and the staff friendly. Guests should be warned about the terrible access road of over 30 minutes rough driving.

Highly recommend for a relaxing time in the bush

The staff was incredible! Lebo deserves a special mention - thank you for your help! Ditholo could not have been more accommodating to our needs. We were slightly let down by limited game viewing, but the lodge itself was amazing and we really enjoyed spending time up on the viewing deck. Local hippos were a great plus! Food was local but lekker!

Great for getting over jet lag

This is a great location to get out of the urban nightmare of Jo'burg and Pretoria and acclimatize from your flight. The staff is awesome as is the ambiance. Superb. If a dirt road puts you off, stay in town.

Relaxing place to view wild game.

We had a little trouble locating the Lodge but once on the right track it wasn't a problem. The accommodation is very nice and comfortable, staff are very helpful. Nothing is a problem and I recommend Ditholo to those who want a few days to relax and see some Afican plains game.

Highly recommended

Stayed for Friday night only as we were doing a mountain bike race on Saturday morning. Lodge accommodated us with early breakfast and dinner on Friday night was exceptional. Can definitely recommend. Just a note of caution, there is wifi in the conference room but cellphone signal comes and goes.

Quiet bushveld location

Ditholo is one of many small private game lodges near Bela Bela and is of the beaten track . It is very quiet and has a very pleasant verandah and lookout from which you look over a large pond and a seperate hippo pool . We stayed there for one night only. The staff are very nice and friendly and really try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Food was ok but not brilliant. The rooms are in standalone huts each of them is split in half and has 2 rooms. Beds were comfortable but bathrooms are on the small side. We did one game view in the morning but felt that there was not much to see. The area around Bela Bela has very many private game farms and Ditholo is one of many. We would recommend the hotel due to the relaxing atmosphere and very friendly staff.

What a beautiful Lodge. We got treated amazingly, the staff were amazing, the Lodge was extremely clean. The food was great, overall an stunning getaway away. I will recommend this Lodge to all my family and friends.

Eine sehr schoenes Lodge mitten in Suedafrika

Also von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise wurde sich hervorragend um uns gekuemmert. Wir verbrachten dort ein herrliches Wochenende und konnten uns vom Alltag gut erholen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Wir werden dort wieder hinfahren, dann aber laenger.

we had a relaxing break at ditholo the lodge itself is very nice the pool is great and the staff very accomodating . The only drawback is the gravel road to get there . We saw animals on the game drive they have a hippo pool and a nice viewing spot to see the animals .
