Friendly, happy small hotel

The cleaner had left a note in the room saying 'hope you enjoy your stay. In general, the staff seemed happy and the hotel had a nice 'feel' about it.

Lovely friendly staff - even gave us an upgrade. Room was spacious with big bed (pillows were uncomfortable though). Room quite hot (in Dec) even with fan and the one opening window. Nice bar area - didn’t have breakfast. Car parking fine. Easy stroll around the town.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay very much. We were upgraded to a deluxe double room which was tastefully furnished , quiet and comfortable.The building is very interesting and conveniently located in the town. We enjoyed our meals and the ambience of the dining area. Our slight worry was that we might not be able to park when we went out for the day.
