The view from this hotel was literally breathtaking. From the balcony of the room, as well as from the restaurant terrace.
The restaurant was of good standard, considering food as well as service.
I travel often and stay in hotels within this price range and higher, so I chose this property expecting a certain level of service. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the $500-per-night rate.
Service was lacking from the moment we arrived—no assistance with luggage, and the front desk was frequently unattended, even at check-in. When I asked an employee for dinner and skiing recommendations, he said he couldn’t offer any and suggested I wait for the next shift, which felt unprofessional.
The website also implies there is a hotel shuttle, but there isn’t—only a public bus that runs once an hour, and the hotel is a 10-minute drive from the ski area. If this had been clear, I would have chosen differently.
Dinner was another issue. We planned to dine out, but my son became unwell, so we stayed in. We were reprimanded for not booking dinner with our stay and were made to feel as if we might not be served, which was completely inappropriate.
The rooms are nice, but hospitality was essentially nonexistent. The value aligns with a far lower price. At checkout, another guest was complaining, and an employee responded that “it’s all about money,” further confirming the lack of care and low morale.
I would not return to this hotel or recommend it, and the experience left me with a negative impression of the destination overall.
