「The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

「I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.」

「Lovely place, lovely stay. Room nice and a tasty breakfast.」

「The hotel is very old and has lost the luster of past centuries. There are minimal amenities and the garage is a nightmare to negotiate when full. My room was very basic like an old dorm room but ok for the price. There was no hairdryer. The hotel is in a prime location and convenient for walking about the town.」

「Staff were helpful, pleasant and friendly. Clean room and good breakfast.」

「Norma was absolutely wonderful, helpful and efficient. The accommodation was clean and tidy, shower was great. Breakfast was well varied and tasty. Evening meal was excellent. Bar and staff were good. Will be visiting again 😊」

「Ok for a low-budget one night stopover.」

「All was very good」
