Amazing stay at Debrah Brown

Our stay at Debrah Brown was excellent. The hotel is beautiful and has great amenities. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Location is great, very close to beach. Looking forward to staying here again!

The hotel doesn't have noise proof doors in the rooms so I can hear people walking around the hall way. It is a very nice place, nicely decorated but a little dusty. Beds and sheets very comfy. Very nice towels too. They need to put more attention on cleaning. Also the pictures advertise on Expedia about the rooms do not much the offers. Be aware of the "Urban room" it is small bed against a wall that wasn't the room I thought i was getting. Expedia the pictures you show on the app are different ones, I had to pay extra I wasn't happy about that I felt cheated.

We had an excellent experience at Brown Beach House. The staff was super helpful -especially, Zach, Katherine, and Nofar! They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Also one of the best breakfasts in town - most delicious Israeli style food. We highly recommend!

The hotel is well located in Tel Aviv downtown, near the beach. Breakfast and facilities are great although bathroom is super tiny and front desk workers are a bit misled. Generally speaking, everything went great.

good location and great service

great hotel in good location room was perfect size and also staff went the extra miale to take care of things when my a/c didnt work i got an upgrade and free breakfast. Also you can message them via whatsapp and they respond fast and bring what you need. I liked it so much that i booked another stay at another brown hotel for my next stay.

The room was ok, however very dusty. The general areas of the hotel smelt and weren’t very clean. The hallway light outside my room didn’t work and I reported this twice to the reception and housekeeping and nothing was done.

Although it is located in a good area, the hotel is not maintained well. You can tell its neglect from the moment you walk in. WiFi is completely unusable if you are trying to work. 2-3MBPS. Rooms are small and water in the showers is either boiling hot or freezing cold.

There is no refrigerator for diabetics, and they also do not provide freezer services. The girl at the reception desk didn’t want to help at night, we had to survive with purchased ice in the market.

Great potential but serious kinks need fixing

I was a solo traveller and booked what I thought was a standard room, without breakfast. The room was so small that it could not even accommodate a small table. The only place to sit was the bed. The room has not been vacuumed or dusted. The photo below was taken from my window on a sunny day. It looks cloudy because the window was so dirty. I had to pester to get my room cleaned. I spoke to the manager who gave me a discount and a couple of breakfasts but I would have preferred no compensation to a decent room with proper cleaning service.

Good physical property, but the staff are the reason I'll never stay again. I've stayed here before and the staff were mediocre, but this time they were outright bad. Waited several hours at check-in before they were able to give me a room (even after check-in time), only to then be told they didn't have what I'd booked and downgraded me. Then around midnight on that night they gave a room key to my room to someone else who woke me when they entered MY room apparently "looking for their bags"!! The next day several staff stated that could not have happened (basically calling me a liar), before one finally admitted it did and they were the one to give out the key! I was promised a partial refund for those issues, but it never came. I was promised a late checkout as compensation, but when I asked for it on the last day it was refused. I travel a lot and have spent thousands of nights in hotels, and I've never experienced anything like what I did at the Debrah Brown. Despite the property itself being quite nice, I could never recommend anyone stay there after my experience.

More hostel than hotel

No restaurant, no breakfast before 08:30 and no bar. The only day I could do breakfast I was told there wasn’t room for me and had to leave hotel to find food. I was however constantly invited to take part in yoga sessions.
