The Portal del Angel remains an overall a beautiful facility over the 17 that I have stayed here. My room had some significant water damage to the bathroom walls this stay though and a very creaky wood floor plank. Breakfast offerings are solid.

This hotel is a little gem. The staff is completely dedicated to guest's comfort. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the food is delicious. The only thing to consider is that the hotel is in a solitary street that can get quite dark at night.

Excellent boutique hotel with very accommodating staff. Spacious, clean room with good bed and a bit too high tech TV (Staff always promptly came to my aid to adjust.) My limited dining experience was good. There is a beautiful pool and seating area. The location was a bit distant from my destinations, but the restful location is a plus. I actually slept with a window open vs air conditioning during part of my visit. A favorite.

I rented this hotel for my mom who has a interview at the embassy, and she said the staff was amazingly friendly, building is very colonial antique style, beautiful rooms, nice pool, hotel has restaurants and gym, located in a safe zone and very close to the embassy for those who are going to interview.
