「This is my go to spot to stay in Boone Nc and I had probably stayed there at least 5 times in the last year when visiting my kid at App State, which is literally maybe 2 miles away. Graystone Lodge is very clean, has a free breakfast which is very good with local pastries besides a full breakfast buffet. 「We loved this hotel. The staff is terrific. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony. The food was good, and the bar area was a nice gathering spot. The only negatives were the main level was often very chilly, and we didn’t care for the pillows on the bed. They were too big or hard. We couldn’t decide. The mattress was great though and there were very nice amenities in the bathroom. Overall a great experience, and will go back and recommend it to others.」
