  • This was taken at the Kea Point lookout at Mt Cook National Park. It was an easy trek and the view was phenomenal. We got there just as the sun was about to go behind the mountains so I was glad that I could capture what was left of the light on those snow-capped peaks. The giant mountain there is Mt Wakefield and just to the left of it is Mt Cook, nearly fully covered by those stubborn clouds. The Muller Glacier down the bottom definitely gave the image a good colour contrast as well.

This holiday park not allow early visit before checking time. The door is closed. And the receptionist is not happy with me for no reason. (or because my check-in time was 5 minutes earlier?) No smile to me at all. I've never seen it in NZ. Also she asked me to pay cash, no credit card is allowed. It is really disappointed.

A well-kept campground that was surprisingly modern, neat, and clean. Room was a bit warm due to no air conditioning but an open window kept it cool.

We were supposed to have a double bed and a bunk bed and we had 3 bunks instead. There were no table or chairs in the room. There also wasn’t a sink or toilet in the room. The common bathrooms were very impressive, so if you were in a camper, you’d be fine. There was a kitchen area that you could eat indoors or outside, but it was cold and rainy and we didn’t feel like playing cards in a dining hall in that kind of weather. We also had to pay cash as their credit card machine wasn’t working. We had to go to an ATM and withdraw cash and pay extra withdraw fees. A little suspicious to me.

The cabin was basic but very clean and comfortable. Great view of the mountains. The bathrooms and showers were clean and in good condition. Lady at reception was very welcoming and provided towels. Would recommend

Er stayed in the a room with a bunkbed. Very small, paper thun walls, we could hear our neighbor snoring. It got pretty cold at night and there was a little space heater that stayed in for 15-20 mins before shutting off on its own, so we had to keep turning it on. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained, bring your own towels, none were provided. We didnt use the kitchen. Used tge laundry facilities, they were great, 2 washers and 2 dryers.

Demanded we pay cash despite Expedia saying Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Had to make a trip into town to withdraw cash! Not acceptable in this day and age. Spa pool is advertised on the website, but there is none! Amenities could be improved, for instance: hooks on the wall for hanging up jackets, opening window on the back wall for air flow, layout of camp is haphazard and not clearly marked. The bathrooms were fresh and modern, but the water was only luke warm and actually turned to cold mid-shower on one occasion. Would not book here again!

Great location and good size room. Pretty view of the mountains. The only thing that was a surprise was that it was cash only, just wish I would of known before had so we wouldn't have and to go pull out a couple hundred for our stay.

The view from the patios was superb. The room was tidy and bathroom was, as well. Guests should bring their own towels, and kitchen towels and coffee maker.

Staff wasn't very friendly. They said their credit card machine didn't work, so I'd have to pay cash for the stay. I told them I didn't have that much cash. They didn't care. I was forced to drive around to find an ATM for the cash. You better bring cash or find another place to stay. Will never stay again.

Got there for check in and there was a young man who seemed to be getting trained on how to check people in. He did a good job. The room was exactly as described - two bunk beds and a queen bed. The quarters were a little tight but the room was clean and seemed to be newer. The only ventilation in the room was the sliding door and the window next to it. It was easy to cool the room down but later in the night with the window open and door closed I got a little warm with 5 people in there. The bathroom building was a short walk from the room. The bathrooms were clean and I never had to wait to use a toilet or a shower. The grounds are clean and well kept. We didn’t use the kitchen but there are two ovens and range tops in there along with a fridge and freezer. We mainly booked this place for the low price and it looked nice in the pictures. I liked it and I would stay again if ever in the area again. The WiFi works as long as you are close to the reception building but it wouldn’t work in the room. Check in and check out were easy, and there is a gate at the entrance that is closed at night. Check in comes with a key card that opens the gate.

The female owner was not pleasant, felt like we were invading her space. Room was very minimal. There was no spa pool as advertised on expedia, which was one of the main reasons for booking this site. This needs to be removed from advertisement
