Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. If noise bothers you, I would request an upstairs room as we could hear people moving above us all night. Staff were friendly, restaurant and bar were great for a drink and meal.

We stayed in the basic room. It was very small but adequate. The room was clean, the bed was firm and the walls are nit sound proofed in any way. Having stayed in many similar hotels in Taupo, the standard of the Lakefront is comparable with them. It was great to be relatively close to town.

Polite staff on arrival. Comfy bed, room nice and clean. Was on the ground floor, perhaps a room on a level up may of been better, will do next time. Great location Right across the road from the lake which was lovely, and an easy walk into town.
