The laundry service and the cleaniness were excellent. We received an email after the booking to say pool was closed this was disappointing. The place is a little rundown. They were very helpful about booking in late. Due to English being my second language and the front counter peoples second language this was a little challenging.

Lovely quiet place to stay. Unit clean and tidy, nice bathroom, towels nice and soft. Carpet a bit worn but clean. A privilege to be able stay there with my dog. Excellent price. Will stay again. Thank you.

Unfortunately there was mold around the windows and frames and my friend has breathing problems when mold is present so she struggled with her breathing through the night. Quiet place to stay.

Clean and tidy room comfy Clean beds and bathroom. Peaceful, private quiet. Exterior of this facility is run down however our room was good owners are friendly. Affordable place of the beatrn track a bit. Close to everything we wanted to do in Taupo really easy to get around from here. If you are after luxury accommodation this isn't for you as far as cheaper accommodation goes this was perfect for us and we enjoyed our stay over 2 nights.

Very close - next door to one of the most beautiful parks in Taupo. Spa Park is home to several disc golf tournaments. Hole 6 is right beside the entrance to Grandeur. Very handy.

Room was barely acceptable, very old musty smell in unit. Bathroom door was very hard to slide and would not shut completely, toilet seat was loose and moved when you sat on it. The kitchen while clean and nice, it had nothing in the way of cooking utensils at all. We had to wash before use all cups, cutlery and plates as none appeared properly clean. The "resort" is none existing and very very old and run down.

Staff friendly, room clean be very ordinary. Chipped paint everywhere, chip cabnets in bathroom no where to hang towels. Glad onlybstaying there for 1 night.

All was great, staff were lovely, only thing that was a put off was the smell in the room, its like solfer or mould smell, but we just opened all the doors and windows while we were there.

This was my 2nd time staying here. All the staff were friendly and helpful, as were the neighbouring guests. The room was clean and tidy, although a bit tired but not a problem when the price reflects this. The Clay Target Shooting Club could start later on a Sunday morning out of respect for the guests of this normally tranquil place.

We stayed a few weeks ago. We booked for 2 nights and we shocked when we arrived at how run down the outside and surroundings was. As we drove down the bumpy gravel driveway around to the accommodation, I felt a little unsafe. The rooms were small but clean, however not a true representation of what we had seen on the website. The bathroom had no extractor fan (so smelt damp), water pooled in the bottom of the shower, the mirror was all corroded around the outside, the floor tiles were missing grouting and the paint all over the roof beams looked terrible. We tried to use the air con, but when we turned it on it smelt bad so turned off. TV in room was not great as signal kept cutting out. Feel it was overpriced for what it was. We were booked to stay another night a few days later on our return to Taupo however we cancelled and found an alternative resort.

The actual property looks quite different to how the website and booking sites present it. The place is very run down with the sign falling off, looks abandoned on arrival and does not really deserve the name “grandeur” or “resort“. Reception area is quite rough and dirty looking despite the staff being friendly enough. The room on arrival smell wierd but seemed to air out over time. Sheets and beds were clean and nice but the couch was so old and stained we had to request a sheet to lay on top of it. The bathroom had been done up which was good and clean. Overall just seemed very run down for what we paid. The main issue, is it is not accurately presented on the websites.

Room although clean was sparsely equipped: no where to hang clothes. No light switches near bed. Had to fumble to find bed in dark after switching off light. Soap dispensers in bathroom empty. TV reception very poor with constant picture and sound failure. Grounds around hotel were extremely overgrown and unkempt. Derelict buildings scattered around. Needs a huge renovation project.
