A little attention required

The owner was a helpful man but the property missed living up to even our relatively low expectations. The bed was uncomfortable. The pillows were hard even by Italian standards. There was only an old fashioned and questionable bedspread. No blanket and the nights got cold. The furniture was leftover, cheap and uncomfortable. Breakfast was nothing to talk about. With just a little attention, this drab, worn out and uncomfortable room could be a smash hit with its great bones and fabulous location..

Inmenso apartamento en el mismo centro de la ciudad en un edificio histórico. Instalaciones modernas y confortables. Tiene todo lo que puedas necesitar. Buen desayuno en un edificio anexo. Aparcamiento gratuito (plazas de color) blanco muy cerca del apartamento. Excelente servicio. Tuvimos un problema con el vuelo y estuvimos en contacto con ellos y nos dieron todas las facilidades. Totalmente recomendable

Beautiful facilities in the heart of the old city

Our experience was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The host is well organized and provides a well thought out map and a wealth of knowledge about the local area. Our room was in a building dating back to the 1500’s and was absolutely gorgeous. Entering through tall wooden doors (3-4m), you proceed up two flights (wide and easy) of very old stone steps to the 1st floor where our room was located. Our room had a very high barrel ceiling and was painted beautifully. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had all the modern amenities. The room also had a good amount of storage and a small refrigerator. Breakfast is classic Italian style but done with flair. A large assortment of breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, cereals, etc are provided. Breakfast is served in one of the oldest buildings in Tarquinia and is absolutely beautiful. The facilities are all within the old city and are located within a minutes walking to anywhere In the old city. In Tarquinia Albergo Diffuso is a step above everywhere we have stayed during our one month cycling trip across Italy. We recommend it highly and will definitely be back on our next trip.

An unforgettable Etruscan stay!

Quiet, central location two minutes' walk from the wonderful Etruscan museum and bus station. Tarquinia is a beautiful walled town standing away from its modern suburbs with an authentic Italian air.

Tarquinia resort studio

The studio for 4 people had 1 queen bed and 2 single beds, living area with TV, a a small kitchen, 1 bathroom. Close to everything, including the bus to the beach. Walking distance to the center if old town, all stores. Nice cleaning crew, reception Franchesko. If you don't take taxi from Rome, call him he will meet you at the train station. Loved it!!!!!

Convenient, clean and reasonable B&B

Almost perfect stay (only parking not so convenient and available). Francisco was amazingly helpful, especially with our luggage up and down the stairs. He also very nicely set our breakfast for each morning. It was nice to have a place for the 4 of us to relax together with our wine and cheese in the afternoon. Also we felt very safe and secure with keys to the outside, the apt, and our rooms. Overall we had a great time; in spite of the rain!

Upon a phone call a lovely girl met me. Walked me through the town . She helped me with my luggage. A very educated young girl. I wish I had more time to spend there. Put stop i Tarquinia

Tarquinia er en hyggelig lille by. Vi havde lejet bil og havde et stop her 2 nætter. Inden vi tog videre til Toscana. Vi tog toget til Rom det tager ca 1 time til Skt Peter stazione. Og 1:45 til termini. Der er ca 10 min i bil til stranden ved lido tarquinia.

Rent och snyggt. Trevligt bemötande vid incheck, följde med och visade till lägenheten som låg ca 5 minuter från receptionen. Bra Wifi. Great central location

Hosts were welcoming and friendly. They helped us with getting our luggage to the room and with nearby parking for just 3 euros per 24 hours. The room was comfortable with a full-sized sofa in addition to the double bed, but with just one tiny window. Bathroom was spacious and well furnished with amenities. Breakfast was self-serve, with a limited variety.

Excellent in every way. Travel arrangements and tours were all taken care of for us, too. Some stairs to suite we stayed in. No elevator. Loved the apartment, plenty of restaurants nearby, and shopping right next door.

a bit different!!

this was a complete surprise! We had an apartment right in the old city near the square of Tarquinia! The host emailed and gave us directions which was just as well, otherwise we wouldn't have found it. Breakfast was self serve in your apartment and basic, also had tea/coffee. Loved the whole concept and felt like we lived there. Great location to the village. The surprise though was that it was shared accommodation and when we were sitting relaxing the door opened and another man came in and walked through to another room!!! So I'm not sure if I read the accommodation wrong but maybe confirm if you don't want to share!!

Koslig hotell midt i gamle sentrum

Fin beliggenhet men stod ikke helt til forventningene da siden lovet kontinentalfrokost, gratis parkering og kjøleskap på rommet. Isteden fikk vi yoghurt og frokostblanding, felles kjøleskap hvor andre gjester tok vår private mat og en offentlig parkeringsplass som kostet penger! Ellers var sengen utrolig deilig å sove i og det var kort vei til en flott strand (med bil). Gamle sentrum var rett utenfor døren med mange flotte cafeer og restauranter. Gratis wifi, synd det var utrolig dårlig!

Lovely room in beautiful old town

Welcomed at the station by Francesco, the hotel us in the heart of the old town. The room was spacious with self-catering options, though a simple breakfast was provided (which we supplemented from a local bakery). It is only a 20 minute walk to the main archeological site (our reason for going), which really is one of the wonders of the world. The Lido is good for that kind of thing, with regular bus connections. Sadly, many restaurants in the town seemed to have shut down BUT those that are open are excellent. In fact, when we were getting our train tickets in Rome the staff enthused about the old in Tarquinia - and they were right! Evenings are well finished off with delicious ice-cream. The Etruscan amaro seems hard to get in Rome, so worth trying here if you can.
