The room was clean and and we had plenty of space. The owner of the propery was very friendly and welcoming. He help us make a reservation for an evening meal at a local hotel. He told us about the history of the convict house and the area. Very interesting stay.

This is a lovely spot - stay here!

We had a lovely time here. The hosts were wonderful and the rooms were lovely, furnished in beautiful antique furniture.

Great History and old style comfort.

Wonderful historic building right on the water with loads of atmosphere. Lovely old garden to explore. Very quiet and cosy with fires and heating. Jetty right out the front of property for wandering along and bird spotting. Hosts are lovely.

Our accommodation was just what we wanted: warm and friendly, with plenty of history and hosts happy to provide every assistance to enable us to get the most out of our stay. Our breakfasts certainly set us up for the day ahead.

We will remember this b&b the most of all our accomodation in Tassie. The setting, the house, the warm welcome & ambience were second to none. On our return after dinner, Lynton had the fire burning in the beautifully appointed lounge. There was a wide range of reading material, and plenty to look at - ornaments, pictures, furnishings. Certain appointments were a little dated, eg bathrooms, but clean & functional just the same. Breakfast was very good. Cosy dining room with a pleasant outlook. Home baked bread, the best fruit compote ever, home made jams, boiled eggs & endless coffee. There was an unpleasant odour about the place, but I've smelt the same odour elsewhere on the Tasman Peninsula, so it's not peculiar to the old Convict Station.

A oerfect way to feel part of the convict history

The whole place was welcoming. A beautiful lakeside position. The included breakfast was delicious from home baked bread and jams, pot tea and coffee..

Wonderful warm people Great location especially for boaties or those who love the water at their doorstep. Great homemade jams and chutney.clean , quiet room with everything I could want.

Superb history and relaxing location

My girlfriend and I stayed here for only one night though we wished we had an extra one. It's not a modern hotel but there is so much history that you can't help falling in love with the place. The owners will give you a quick history lesson about the hotel and there are great memorabilia and photos to help with the story. The hotel is right next to the water and an old jetty so its great for a morning coffee or afternoon tea.

Very friendly owners, and a great breakfast. It’s just 10-15 mins drive from Port Arthur Historic Site so a great location for visiting the area.

It was a great place with a lot of history. The owners were lovely and knowledgeable. The included breakfast was very good with home made products.

Beautiful historic building with gracious host

We stayed one night in the Laurel suite which was quite spacious and very comfortable. We spent the evening reading by the fire in the lounge room which was full of antique furniture of literature about the region. The host was also a wealth of information about the history of the house and the area and its sites of special interest.

Great Location and Charming Historical House!

Clean and spacious, with a delicious breakfast the following morning. Warm, helpful and friendly hosts, which really made the experience all the more enjoyable as well. We also loved hearing about the history of the house and surrounding areas. Thank you for a lovely stay!
