"The room smelled terrible, and it was rust around the tub drain. The shower head was dirty."

"The Cheshire is an interesting experience. It is definitely one-of-a-kind. The problem is that the rooms are outdated. The a/c in my room was very loud. The ceiling tiles were dirty. The walls are very thin and I could hear everything the neighbor was saying. The pool is nice but is loud if your room faces it. Parking is convenience. Breakfast is average hotel continental breakfast - nothing special. The pub is cool. The place needs a refresh and an update, which can be accomplished while maintaining its cool medieval throwback vibe."

"A hidden gem in the Forest Park area of St. Louis. Had no idea it was there. Close to zoo, art museum, the U.City Loop and other attractions. Easy Metro ride to see a Cards game if you catch the U.City Loop train. Great small pub just off the lobby with excellent fish n' chips, toasted ravioli and a delicious and hearty breakfast buffet that is way better than a typical chain hotel. You have to pay a bit for it, but it's worth it. Highly recommend."

"Our room was very clean. Our housekeeper was very attentive. I couldn’t say enough about her. The front staff was only as friendly as they needed to be never went out of their way. The key cards were very finicky and had to be reset multiple times much to the dismay of the front desk, who were disappointed that they had to fix the keys again. The ice machines were broken on every floor, but the fifth floor with no notes except for the fourth floor."
