I need to mention first that the staff was absolutely excellent! The motel/room itself was greatly lacking. Partly our fault since we asked for an upstairs room after they had planned to give us a downstairs room. When we got to the upstairs room, there was a bag of garbage in front of the door that was leaking something that smelled like fish. After a short time, someone came and cleaned it up and put bleach where it leaked. Definitely helped. Then, there was no hot water. We let the sink and tub run for some time but still none. Then we got a stranger knocking on the door saying she was looking for her "home girl." Not our best experience at a hotel.

It wasn’t the staff! The staff was great! The lobby was clean! Check in was easy and I was able to get a non smoking room like I wanted. It wasn’t until we got into our room that was not great. I am OCD and the The overall cleanliness of the room was lacking. You can tell the room had been remodeled at some point because the flooring was short of the furniture in many places. There was room for more amenities, like a mini fridge or a bigger desk, or a dresser for clothes. There was dirt was caked into the corners of ALL the baseboards, window, and AC unit like any of it had never been cleaned, swept or mopped. As for the bathroom…the shower drain was clogged with toilet paper in addition to looking like it had been used prior checking in. The toilet, while looking clean, upon using looked like someone shaved their pubs over it and was not properly bolted to the floor…I was afraid to sit on it! The towels and wash rags looked like they had body hair of some sort and terrible stains. As well, the exhaust fan was caked with dirt! Not to mention we had obnoxious neighbors on our second night that were SOOO loud in their room. Their loud whatever they were doing carried into the breezeways, as well as they were smoking weed that permeated the breezeway. They were in and out of the room slamming doors and taking their loudness into the parking lot until 2am or later. Despite complaints, they seemed to temporarily quiet down, only to forget where they were and do minutes later.

Besides the staff being super nice and very helpful this place is def a motel 6. I shouldn’t have expected much but the amount of bugs dead and alive was disturbing . I had to change rooms twice which they let me do with no problem. The bed was surprisingly comfortable but I will not go back. Sucks that parents weekend all the hotels can screw you and I paid way more than that place is worth . I’m sorry to the staff for a bad review because they were again very helpful and super nice

Marsha was great friendly and professional. The corners of the bed need to be padded, they stick out, I cut my legs twice walking by the bed corners and Marsha gave me bandages and Neosporin! The water pressure was good but it took 20 minutes to get any hot water! What a waste of water and time! I thought they would have juice in the morning but they only had coffee and no flavored creamer. I think the owner must be a cheapskate!

This is an older property, and is in need of some upkeep. But overall the rooms were acceptable, the staff was extremely friendly, and it has a fun little lounge right on the lobby. For a parent visit in Tallahassee over parents weekend, it was a great place to come back to relax and enjoy having fun with other parents and karaoke
