We really enjoyed our stay at La Vela. It is a beautiful modern resort with good food and service. The surrounding streets are great with lots of dining and a huge night market 4 days a week.

Everything was just perfect: convenient location close to town, great amenities and direct access to the beach. Special mention to the staff, they were amazing! Breakfast was just amazing! (probably one of the best I had in hotels in terms of variety and taste!)

Buffet breakfast was a highlight - delicious

This was our second stay at La Vella Khao Lak, and we were once again impressed by the friendly and professional staff who go above and beyond. However, some guests reserve pool and beach chairs for hours without using them, which is unfair to others. We recommend management put up signs in multiple languages and enforce a policy to remove unattended towels after 30 minutes.

This resort was wonderful. The rooms were very new and nicely appointed. Food was wonderful and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. There were cheaper dining options a short walk away… all the food both at the resort and nearby restaurants was amazing. There are pools everywhere and lots of options… The beach had red flags every day so no swimming where the resort is. But there our sun and shade options for sitting in beach chairs and enjoying the surf.
