Great Views

Yummy breakfast, great mountain/sea views, helpful staff. Easy access to the main street for shopping and snacks. Located up the hill from the main shopping district and offers you your own pair of slippers for the house.

Excellent stay in Jiufen

Easy check in. Clean rooms in a great location. Ocean view was slightly obstructed but still great. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Don’t day trip to Jiufen the area around it has so much to explore stay here

I can stay here all day everyday

Sensible room layout and design, you won’t even understand how you’re living in a room this size and still able to get so cozy. Top-tier cleanliness, machines and facilities are all very new and highly functional. Public space has impeccable view over the entire area and is well-decorated. Plus, your stay comes with a breakfast!

This place was great! Super clean and convenient to the main road. They also had free breakfast! I think the only suggestion I had was to maybe mark the breakfast items for vegetarians. The front desk did explain to me which ones were okay to eat but my Chinese isn’t the best. But everything else was great!

Nice location guesthouse

The location is at its best to access old street and uber taxi knows it well as we caught uber many times during our 3 night stays. Accommodation is quite basic with small room, no view from our window, no turndown/cleaning service during our stay. Everything is clean and hygienic. If we have issues, you can chat with the manager in whatsapp, and they will attend pretty much straight away, eg. when our tv or ac not working, they attended rightaway. Breakfast is pretty basic but the stirfry was delicious and tasty. Their butter filled bread roll is so soft, melt in your mouth. Not much to do, i would stay 2 night max in jiufen.

Small and smelly room

There are 5 to 6 rooms in the B&B, I found out later that I have booked the worst room, which is located on the ground floor with a very blocked view, no ocean view at all. The room is extremely small and has the smell of the water sewage when we enter, but the rate is very high comparing to the other B&B nearby in the same location. The view of the breakfast and relaxing are is very good though. The location is conveniently above the main old street. To be fair, I think the other rooms are much better so this comment only applies to the smallest room

The Ocean Theory is a small hotel located at the top of Jiufen old street, overlooking the mountains of Jiufen. The hotel is cozy and stylish. It has an impressive gathering spot on the 2nd and 3rd floors - a nice end to a long day walking up & down the steps of Jiufen.

This was a great B&B stay that’s only a 2 min walk from old street. The staff was communicative and everything was ready on time. Our drivers had a slightly difficult time reaching the property, so be prepared to walk 5-10 minutes with your bags (although I think that’s standard for any place in Jiufen).

今回2泊3日でお世話になりました。受付のスタッフさんはとても親切な方で、チェックインの説明など丁寧にしていただけました。 朝ごはんも品揃えがありとてもおいしかったです。食べるスペースも綺麗でオシャレです。九份は10時頃からお店が開店しだすため、早くの朝ごはん入手は難しくて充実したごはんはとても助かりました。食べ終わった頃にはお茶屋さんやお土産物屋さんが開きだしますので、ちょうどよかったです。午前中は比較的観光客少なめなのでゆったりお茶を楽しんだりできました。 九份老街から上に1分の距離です。 キャリーだと大変かもなのでリュックとかの方がいいと思います。 お部屋自体も清潔で除湿機が設置されていて連日雨でしたが、不自由なく過ごせました。 お風呂も水圧しっかりお湯も出ます。トイレがすぐ横なので気になる方は居るかも。 夜お風呂入って朝起きた頃には乾燥されていた為、私は問題なく過ごせました。 ちなみにエントランスに靴の乾燥機も設置されていた為助かりました。 次もまた利用したいなと思います。

Das Hotel liegt am oberen Ende der Stadt, man hat einen prima Ausblick von den Frühstücksräumen aus, oder je nach Buchung auch aus dem Zimmer. Der Ausblick auf die Bucht aus dem Bett ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Das Frühstück fällt ein wenig kleiner aus und ist zeitlich sehr begrenzt, dafür wird jedoch auf alles Rücksicht genommen. Achtung: Das Hotel hat keinen Parkplatz. Man kann unten im Ort parken und mit leichtem Gepäck zum Hotel hinaufgehen. Mit Koffern empfehle ich den Weg nicht. Es kursieren einige negative Erfahrungsberichte, so auch zu unfreundlichen Mitarbeitenden. Das kann ich überhaupt nicht bestätigen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und erklärt alles sehr genau und ausführlich. Die Frage nach Attraktionen in der Nähe erübrigt sich eigentlich mit dem Aufstieg zum Hotel. Daher finde ich die Kommentare lächerlich.

のんびり海を見ながら過ごしたいと思い、こちらの宿にしました。お部屋は少し狭いと感じましたが、2-3階に広いフリースペースがあり、テイクアウトしたご飯はそちらで頂きました。夕焼けを見ながらご飯が食べることができ最高でした。 綺麗に掃除されていたのと、日本語が上手なお兄さんもいたため不自由なく過ごすことができました。 坂が多い地域なのでキャリーバッグを持っている場合はタクシーで移動するのをお勧めします。(スタッフの方に頼んだら手配してくださいました。) また機会があれば泊まりたいと思うホテルです！お世話になりました。

ホテルがとにかくおしゃれで綺麗でした。 九份老街を通ってホテルまで登って行くのはかなり大変でしたが、登るだけあって眺めは申し分ないです。 ホテルのスタッフの方の対応もとても親切で、何不自由なく過ごせました。 シャワーはトイレと一緒の場所に設置されており、気になる人は気になるかもしれないです。ただ、1泊くらいであれば全然許容できる範囲だと個人的に思いました。 九份老街へはすぐなので、買い物して荷物を一旦置きに行くこともでき、便利に過ごせます。 また、夜20時を過ぎると人気もすくなくなるので、そこから再度街にぶらり散歩をすることもできます。 かなり満足なホテルでした。
