Amazing Beach Huts!

These little huts are incredible! If you are looking for a 5-star hotel, this is not for you. If you are looking for amazing location, beautiful sunrises, essentially a private beach, super cool, clean, and unique lodging, and friendly owners and caretakers, then these lttle beach huts are amazing! We would recommend this place to everyone! Our family of 7 rented two of the three huts on this property, and we could not have been happier!

Idealic location on a quieter side of the island. The couple that owns these bungalows couldn't have been more hospitable and helpful. Our stay was during a national holiday, grocery stores were closed, so they had a barbecue, fed us lunch, and gave us left-overs for our dinner. Parking was secure, bungalow accommodations were clean, basic, very rustic, and completely adequate. Next time I'll stay a week ...or two. Thank you, Carlos, for your hospitality.

Beautiful location but has some drawbacks

I cannot say enough about how beautiful this property is and it is so close to a private beach and the crashing waves. The property manager, Hina, was lovely and so helpful though she speaks minimal English we did manage. Just want everyone to be aware that this beach cottage is minimally supplied. The can and bottle opener were old and hard to use, there are just a few pots and pans and cooking utensils. There is a ceiling fan but it is so high up that one cannot feel the air and so the place is very hot and humid unless you turn on the bedroom air conditioner. There are no washclothes and be prepared to bring your own shampoo and soap. The bed is large but the mattress is a bit hard. And if you have a problem with mosquitoes bring plenty of repellant. Also, cockroaches came out at night. I know all this comes with the territory of being in a humid climate but just be forewarned. Also, no hair dryer, though that is in the amenities section. We took amazing day trips and loved getting to know and interact with locals and watch the fishing boats come in and out in the mornings. Roosters roam all the properties which is delightful unless you mind early morning wake-up calls. We are so glad we went but would have been far more comfortable with good fans, mosquito netting, roach spray and other things I mentioned. If you are looking for a 4 or 5 star place this is not it, but if you want a more authentic Tahitian experience this might be right up your alley.

Le logement est très rudimentaire cependant l’accueil est très sympathique. Nous sommes mal tombés car les voisin faisaient une fête le soir. Nous n’avons pas dormi avant 2h du matin.

Super Lage und liebenswerte, hilfsbereite Menschen

Wunderbarer, ruhiger Ort direkt am Meer. Hina hat sich extrem gut um uns gekümmert, man fühlte sich wirklich wie zu Hause. Carlos hat uns super geholfen, Aktivitäten zu organisieren und ein Surfbrett geliehen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Tahitian bungalow on the black sand beach!

My booking reservation advised to call 48 hrs prior to arriving. I failed to do so and got there before the room was ready. A quick call to Carlos and the housekeeping staff were there within 10 mins. They explained the workings of the bungalow while Carlos made the 1 hour drive from Papeete with the supplies. Basic breakfast food of bread, coffee and juice. The refrigerator already had butter in it. He also brought the freshest pineapple we had ever tasted. We had already bought groceries at the Carrefour in Papeete to cook our own meals but forgot bottled water. Luckily another Carrefour was located in Taravao on the isthmus 15-20 mins to the south. Not having enough time to properly clean, the housekeepers changed the bed linens and had fresh towels put in the bathroom. Advance notice assists the housekeepers to properly plan the cleaning schedules. Our bungalow was closest to the beach, beside the outdoor pavilion. It seemed to have a good breeze but the supplied floor fan assisted with air circulation. It was comfortable. The driveway gate is locked for the security of cars and guests and there is good parking for maybe six cars. While the surf was a bit too rough for us to snorkel, there were other guests kayaking, surfing and swimming. Equipment supplied on the beach. Carlos offered to take us on a complimentary tour to see Mt. Marau but we had another excursion planned. It was a generous offer.

This is a great place right on a good swimming bea

We had a great stay here for 4 nights. It's very comfortable. It is a bit hard to find ( just like everything else in Tahiti). There is a lot of road noise from very early in the morning. We learnt to paddle board here! Very wel maintained property 5/5.
