Marvellous and stunning Resort with excellent service from arrival to departure. Very friendly and helpful staff!
I would recommend to book a bungalow directly at the sea. They offer also tours by boat and land. I would definitely stay there again !
It was a lovely ‘bed and breakfast’ type place with your own bungalow. Very small , Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Was exactly as what we expected for a very small quaint establishment
Fare Pea Iti exceeded my expectations for relaxing and unwinding. Poe, the Captain and the rest of the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Upon our check in,we were greeted with lei and fresh juice. They were very informative about the property and inquired about our personal preferences. Our beach bungalow was terrific and we had a private beach area to ourselves, along with the swimming pool to use at all hours. We used their complimentary bikes every day. Poe arranged for a rental car to come to us and they even picked it up there. We used their Hobie Cat one afternoon and cruised back and forth in the lagoon to the motu. The food was exceptional and they made us feel like family.
The Fare Pea Iti Lodge is charming and relaxed; we enjoyed the location, the meals and the family atmosphere. The expeditions to visit the island of Taha'a and out to a motu were excellent. It happened to be festival month and so we were also treated to an outing to see an authentic Taha'a dance exposition.
Our bungalow was comfortable and we enjoyed the traditional, rustic design. More homey than hotel-ish. The guest wifi failed during our stay, which was inconvenient, but this led us to slow down and be present more than we otherwise would have.
The only source of some stress was communication. Our emails before arrival were not answered very consistently. And we did not realize that no staff members there spoke English. We had to dust off our highschool French in order to communicate. The manager did not seem eager to help bridge the gap, for example by helping communicate through Google Translate, which they assured us they were familiar with. Perhaps anglophone visitors are not their priority.
Other than that difficulty, we felt that the staff were remarkably kind and interested in our enjoyment and in our having the opportunity to appreciate Taha'a culture.
The private water taxi to the resort was only the first surprise of many that made this one of the finest resort properties we've ever seen. This has our unconditional and greatest recommendations.

Our final lodging experience during our 3 week trip to French Polynesia was awful. We booked a 5 night stay but left after 1 night because of the unacceptable noise levels from the construction directly behind our bungalow. We woke up to incredibly loud sawing and grinding - and when it continued throughout breakfast, we finally asked the manager what was going on. She unapologetically told us this would not stop and then after 15 minutes yelled across the dock to us that the noise would subside. 5 minutes later, the grinding noises were replaced by repetitive loud hammer sounds. This lasted from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. During that time, we decided to find an alternative accommodation as our goal to coming to Tahiti was to relax and this hotel was ruining our vacation. Later that day after we had already left, we received another message from the manager that the construction was supposed to be have been completed before our arrival but they had a date change and were sorry. The lack of transparency prior to booking, along with the lack of transparency when we arrived was unacceptable. Furthermore, the staff was not at all proactive and only did not try to resolve or make the situation better. No offer of a refund or complimentary activity - nothing. Overall, the lack of hospitality was absolutely baffling.
Along with these issues, the price per night was way too high for the age of the property, poor quality of food, and dirty indoor and outdoor spaces and furniture.
Séjour dans un Lodge romantique et calme. Les gérants Poe et William sont très sympathiques et authentiques. Les repas sont faits sur place avec des produits locaux et ils sont très bons.
A recommander absolument.
A déconseiller :(
