"I seriously thought about giving this place a TERRIBLE review because I liked it here so much and I dont want to see the price go up once construction on the exterior pool is complete and summer gets here. This is a river front property, however fishing is not allowed on the rocks currently but there is a place to fish about a quarter of a mile away in the neighborhood. The bed is super comfy. The Zenses shampoo, body wash, and lotion in the scent of Sandalwood was amazing. The conditioner worked really well for my hair type. I loved the black make up rag and facial wipes as well as the hand soap. The breakfast bar is pretty standard. There was a bit of a lack of options for diabetics but staff mentioned looking in to more options."

"It was ok but there are some negatives. The young lady at the desk was great, at check in she walked me over to the next door building where the room was and showed me how to unlock the building and room door. I noticed though, walking up the stairs was very loud. The building is old and absolutely beautiful but that comes with a price. Every step you take, on floors, stairs and in room is incredibly loud. When you are in your room, you hear every footstep made in the building (especially the stairs) and you hear every bit of outside noise as though there is little to no insulation. There was no blind in our window, only a curtain. Thats fine unless you wanted to sleep in a bit. 630 am and the room was completely lit from daylight. Side note, on sat and sun, the cafe doesnt open until 8 am and there is no Continental breakfast. The cafe is now called "Birdies" and gives 10% discount on coffee to commodore visitors. That was quite disappointing because it was advertised on hotels.com listing. The place was very beautiful and clean, just noisy. Bring your own pillow too, the bed was alright but the pillows are absolutely terrible. Those negatives are ok if you know upfront, I would stay again but with lower expectations next time."

"It looks like an old motel from the outside but the rooms were great. Bed was comfortable and spacious. Also very clean. The little old man at the front desk was sooo nice!!"

"Pros: The location was convenient. The room was cleaned daily. Staff was very pleasant. The AC worked great. The road noise wasn't terrible at all. The pool was very well maintained. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. Cons: I stayed for 6 nights and the sheets were never changed. The mop water is not changed between rooms which leaves the floors rather tacky feeling. On my very last night I found 2 live cockroaches and 1 dead that was under the drawer in the nightstand while packing up. If it weren't for the roaches I would've given an excellent review and returned on my next visit."

"The bed and bathroom were clean. However the floor was filthy. I spilled a little water. When I wiped it up the paper towels were black. You could feel the grit on your feet. I and my mother are disabled. We stayed in the handicapped room. The beds were so high I had to help my mother up into the bed and then it was my turn. The bathtub was also very high. It was hard to step over to take a shower. Also the staff and his kids were playing volleyball right by my brand new car."
