Not much to do in town but plenty of places in driving distance






Very nice weekend stay, but ease up on the check-in policy will ya? We were exhausted from driving and just wanted to relax. We excitedly pulled into HIE at 3:15pm, only to be told they have a strict 4pm check-in, no exceptions. (The woman was not exactly rude, but as close as one could get.) I asked ...

Three stars does not mean it was a bad experience. The place is fine. Clean, close to town. But it is just not a top-notch hotel. It is basic. You are paying for a cheap hotel and a cheap hotel is what you get.

This is a charming hotel that has a lot of character. It is over 100 years old. Guests need to know there are no tvs or ac, but it makes for a nice place to wind down. If you want to get away, this hotel will do the trick.

Everyone is always so lovely and the units are spacious and comfortable. Amenities available are great and it is the perfect place for beginning young skiers. Got the granddaughter a private lesson and the instructor was spectacular.

Sylva is in a beautiful area of North Carolina. There is a lot to do if you love the outdoors.
