"Room smelled damp and was masked each day with some sort or air freshener, I did report it and it didn't improve - Room was also located next to the lift winding engine so had to sleep with earplugs. Breakfast was OK, but not exceptional "

"Great location with great view from the top of the hill. Professional staff who are eager to please. A great restaurant with fresh foods (15%) discount for those who stay at the hotel. Few steps from the Malta’s only shelter during the 2nd world war (worth visiting). "

"The room was large and quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable and enormous and there was also a comfy settee from which we could watch tv. It had a nice balcony looking down to the sea. Excellent breakfast."

"All the staff are so welcoming, the large bedrooms were very comfortable and clean and the variety of food was overwhelming and delicious."

"Room small but clean, bed comfortable, shower hot, room service everyday. Facilities very good(although outdoor pool very cold, it was February and a few pieces of equipment in the gym didn't work). Drinks reasonable(2 for 1 cocktails between 1800 - 2030). Didn't eat food in hotel, so can't give recommendations(although it did look a little pricey). No entertainment. Would definitely go back for 2/3/4 nights stay but not any longer as not a lot to do in the surrounding area which is set on a hill.The hotel is built over 2 buildings, but once you get used to the lifts, its fair easy to get around. Staff very friendly and helpful."

"We've been several times. Hotel is very clean. The food was good too. We enjoy the indoor pool. The staff on reception were not as friendly or professional as the other times we've visited, but it didn't spoil our trip. Maybe they were overwhelmed as it was a busy weekend at Riviera"
