"My stay at Montenegro Lodge wasn’t without its challenges, albeit very minor ones. On the first day we discovered that the door didn’t lock, so we had limited security. The internet was intermittent at times, and the hot water was not sufficient to fill and use the hot tub. However, where this property fell short, the staff were there to pick things up. I cannot commend them highly enough for their hospitality and kindness throughout our stay. The hotel is missing a few things before it can truly be recognised as five‑star. "The hotel was clean and spacious but a bit far out from the old town (around a 45 minute walk). There are some restaurants along the walk across the shore towards the old town but options are limited. The hotel had closed their private beach when i went in October so this was a bit disappointing.The sauna and steam room in the spa was lovely and i had a spa treatment done which was very relaxing. Being October, there was no entertainment or anything as such for guests as the peak season had just ended."
