"We had a wonderful time staying at the Hotel Esplanade. We enjoyed the bar on the first night, the drinks were delicious. We absolutely loved our room, it was spacious and very well maintained. Finally, we loved that the hotel was walkable to everything we wanted to do in Zagreb. Our vacation was made better by our stay at the Hotel Esplanade!"

"TLDR: Helpful staff but aging infrastructure. We stayed for 3 nights. The first room had a strong odd odour (probably of dampness). The staff moved us to a new room that smelled clean. Unfortunately, the second room had water a water leak from the bathroom ceiling. We informed the staff, and they sent a technician that told us that it would require a repairman and that he can't help us. They did not have any other rooms that night, so we stayed there one more night."
