Nothing much to not like about the place. Quiet,clean, and the grounds are well kept. I would have liked a bar... I like to sit at a bar and chat... but othrr that that its a lovely place As usual the staff in the Philippines are exceptional and the staff there are exceptional nothing was to much for them.

We love the location! You can see the the city at night and endless views of the ocean. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are many areas and things that can be improved upon. These are the following: the pool is very cloudy, the toilets near the pool are full of mosquitoes, the beach area is full of trash and glass shards, the roof on the balcony is leaking due to improper nailing or use of nail on roof to the wood, the lamp shades inside room has cracked and the hotel is still using it-very unsafe, floating drawers inside the room is falling off-just bad design and construction—construction company did a bad job at this one. We had dinner at their unlimited bbq. They have a nice selection of skewers it would be nice if they had more veggies and carb selection. They ran out of the eggplant salad and did not refill it. Breakfast was good and included with our room stay. I would like for this place to improve the safety and cleanliness of the entire resort. They have the potential to be the best resort in Surigao!

For the most part it was nice. The communication with the property prior to arrival was non existent. I tried to chat, email and call to no avail to check on the situation up there. The beach and pool are open and there is no pcr test requirements in effect. Their website and Expedia listing needs updating as it still has COVID-19 information requirements posted on it. I think the communication amongst the staff is lacking also. Overall the hotel for Philippines standards is satisfactory. If you are expecting western standards you will be disappointed.

A very dissapoinment stay.
Two double bed with table but only one chair, cable tv not work, when power fell out (twice) no back up, no hot water, breakfast gave diarea, breakfast at bottom level of hotel. Very hard for my heartproblem to walk up. Hotel location too far from city and costly commute. Night table in room lose so tip over and broke glas. Hotel seems outdated.

High quality resort
Really enjoyed our stay at Almont. Beach is tremendous. Pool is exquisite. Food is terrific. Room is spacious and comfortable. Staff is very helpful and courteous.

Best hotel in Surigao
The view from the hotel is beautiful. The beach is nice and the pool very elegant, well designed and maintained. It is very large too and even has a water slide. The rooms are large but have no views. They are well furnished and clean. They are not well maintained though and a little dated. TV remote didn't work and sewer gas was coming back up the shower drain so the bathroom stank. This is a common problem in the Philippines don't know why, maybe the heat or the septic system or poor design. The staff were friendly but slow, probably because everyone was preoccupied with a huge party the next day. We arrived at 9 pm and our room still wasn't ready! Breakfast took 45 mins to serve, but it was free and well done so is s hard to complain. They also gave us a free transfer to the ferry terminal and the room rate was VERY reasonable. So all in all it was a great value and clearly the best choice for a town with limited options.

Very peaceful place
Like hotel. Maybe because not customer durring mine visit and was very quite which I like. Has nice pool, stuff are kind, hotel and beach need big time some update , look like hotel have financial issue. They not have transfer to city which they should have at least rent bike or some opinion.

Great Place to Relax
Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is a bit far from things but transportation is available during the day. Stock up prior to the evening as options become limited. A few minor issues with the room and other facilities but overall very acceptable. WiFi a bit sketchy, not sure if that was a network issue or the service provider. Nice pool facilities for the kids. Nice environment for relaxing.
