"This was our second time here. The property is great overall. The only few things that we didn’t enjoy were the towel situation. Bring back the towel shack. There is nowhere in the rooms or out side to hang a towel so it can dry. Therefore when we weren’t able to flag down the cleaning staff we had soaked towels. The other thing is please bring back the regular coffee carafes at breakfast that machine is not doing it. The new coffee shop is fantastic A++++ the pools were great although hot tubs need maintenance. I am splitting hairs here the food was fantastic and staff all fantastic. "

"This place was awesome so quiet and secluded conveniently located 10 min from everything loved the private dock and the amazing restaurant across the street which gave us a discount for staying at vistalmar all thanks to rikki and diva the dogs of vistalmar that were our escorts to dinner every night!! The only complaint I would say was the smaller rooms in the back had a REALLY small bathroom. Other than that it was awesome! Would definitely stay again"

"The room was the size of my closet. There was a bed 2 feet between the bed and the wall. No draws, no closet no desk or night table, just a tv and small bathroom. I felt super enclosed! I requested another room, again the another room as small as the first room. They were nice enough to move me into a bigger room. I was ready to leave. The neighbor was horrible, homeless people hanging outside the hotel, one approached me as I was getting into my car. It’s a ghost town at night with only homeless people and stray dogs roaming around. Stay away from this place the people are nice but the hotel and the location is horrible. The photos they post are a joke. "

"We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We don't like the big crowded resorts so it was just right for us. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. There were beach chairs and other equipment to borrow. I highly recommend this for those that like a clean, quiet, comfortable stay."
