"We had travelled around for 6 weeks and this had to be the worse bed I've ever tried to sleep in. You could feel every spring in the mattress and when moving the bed would creak. Everything stunk like smoke and you had to pay extra for the air conditioning!! We choose this hotel as it had private parking, however when we got there we were advised we would have to park on the street 200m away next to a building site which wasn't peace of mind when you have a rental vehicle. "We really enjoyed our stay! The rooms have been recently refurbished so are fantastic, and the restaurant is well known on the island as a great place to eat. Only 12 rooms means it’s quiet by the pool and you can always get a lounger, and the breakfast is quality and HUGE - we didn’t need it every day. Thank you!"

"Villa Basca is a beautiful Villa. Very new, modern and comfortable. The owner was such a great host. He helped us with our luggages upon arrival, he brought me to the pharmacy when he found out I have skin allergy. He constantly make sure that we are comfortable staying at his property. "Absolutely great hotel. Fantastic food, private beach, all inclusive drinks (even on the beach!) and a lovely pool. Very good location wise if you're looking for a bit of relaxation, 2 near by quaint villages either side of the hotel for those that like to do a short 40-60 min walk. Would recommend 1 evening in Makarska approx 30 mins away by taxi /bus shuttle just to experience something a bit different to the hotel (but hotel evening food/entertainment can't be faulted). The local drinks part of the all inclusive package were all of decent quality- overall Would love to stay again "
