"I stayed in room 402 for 8 days, which gave me ample time to form a clear and unbiased impression of the guest house. The staff were exceptionally friendly and respectful. The rooms were very clean, and breakfast was good, though the selection could be expanded to include more continental options. The location is excellent, with easy access to numerous restaurants and shops. Some guests may comment on noise from nearby construction; however, this is common throughout Addis Ababa, where building activity is widespread across the city. One suggestion for improvement would be to invest in memory foam mattress toppers and higher-quality pillows, such as feather or memory foam options. The bed comfort became more noticeable over a longer stay. I discussed this with the manager, who was very receptive to the feedback. Overall, it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to stay here again."

"We would appreciate if the restaurant could be a bit more accommodating of guest requests. When we asked for dessert, we were directed to go look for it on another floor. Having a staff member retrieve it for us would have provided a much better service experience. We also found the loud alarm and blaring music used to signal the end of breakfast service on the first floor quite jarring. A gentle announcement or some other softer, more creative way to close the service would be preferable."

"A wonderful stay, extended for a reason! **A wonderful stay, extended for a reason** I stayed at Hotel Lobelia from July 12 - 15 and liked it so much I extended through July 24. The staff were consistently supportive and friendly throughout my whole stay. The location is fantastic, just minutes from the airport by foot or car, with a free shuttle included. With the cold, rainy weather lately, having free access to the steam bath was a real perk, a great way to warm up and ward off the aches and colds that weather like this can bring. The hotel also offers excellent value, with a complimentary breakfast included. My room was spotless and everything worked perfectly, right down to the in-room safe. Thank you, Team Lobelia, for a great stay!"

"This is quite an old-feeling hotel. However, everything works, and the staff are really helpful. The rooms are big and very comfortable. In addition it has a really impressive spa ... with full functioning sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and massage facilities. It also has one of the most extensive hotel gyms that I have ever seen. Quite close to the airport, and with a free shuttle bus."
