"I am asked to write a review of, probably, one of the finest hotels in Strasbourg. It was clear that when I arrived, I would enjoy an outstanding restaurant, wonderful staff, at an excellent location, with great amenities etc. The ideal place to celebrate the birthday of my sister, which is why I came. The problem is to get there. Why does Expedia never ask about this? My flight from Miami was via Lisbon. I tried to use free airport Wifi since my French sim-card did not work. To enjoy the wait for internet access a little bit, I ordered a half-bottle of excellent yet inexpensive Portuguese wine. I got access only after the bottle was finished... Then the train to Strasbourg. One stop before, they found a suspicious item and had everyone evacuate the train. By the time I got an e-mail (in French!) how to contact customer service since the train would not move on, I was already in a taxi to meet my sister in time for dinner... So, the hotel is great, but travel in Europe is not what it used to be."

"The hotel was perfect and in the most prime location. A quick walk from the train station and quick walk to all the sites. The streets and canal views are just breathtaking. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Strasbourg."

"Street the hotel is on seems a bit sketchy, but the hotel inside is very nice. Hard to access by car because officially the road seems to be no cars (although cars drive/park on it anyways). Parkade they recommend is a close and easy 10 min walk or so. Hotel does not have AC, but they use geothermal cooling or something which definitely helped us beat the heat during the European heat wave. The staff offered a fan, and brought it up quickly when we accepted. Comfortable room, great location, would return."

"This is a superb hotel. Fantastic location and incredibly helpful multi-lingual staff. My room was small but was fine for a short stay, and it was immaculately clean. The bed, bedding, and pillows were unusually comfortable. Surprisingly quiet for a room that faced a busy pedestrian street. Reliable, fast WiFi. Strong A/C. The breakfast buffet was excellent. There's a wine bar across the street which is excellent. There's also a huge bank of lockers in the basement where you can store anything from backpacks to large luggage. I would definitely stay here again."
