I picked this hotel for its convenient location: Close to the train station and walkable to the historic downtown. The staff was great. The room was comfortable and clean. Wifi worked well.

The hotel is fully up to international standards and that most travelers come to expect. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff is polite and professional. The hotel is literally next to the train station and very convenient, especially if guests need to catch a very early train. The hotel's architecture is modern and clashes with the historic aesthetics of the train station and the city in general.

Helpful reception with secure luggage store. Large, quiet room (courtyard). Comfortable bed. Good wifi. Good shower. Excellent location. Something to rest luggage on would be useful.

Das Hotel an sich ist ein Kind seiner Zeit und ähnlich ausgestattet wie alle Intercity Hotels. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet, aber sauber. Das Bad benötigt so langsam aber ein Makeover. Die Lage am Bahnhof ist sehr praktisch, doch auch je nach Zimmerlage sehr laut. Fast die ganze Nacht durch werden dort Durchsagen gemacht. Man sollte also nach einem Zimmer zur Straße raus fragen. Da Stralsund eher beschaulich ist, ist das die ruhigere Lage. Ich war außerdem überrascht, dass im Prinzip jeder das Hotel jederzeit ohne Karte betreten und den Fahrstuhl nutzen kann. An einem Abend saß niemand in der Rezeption und auch nicht im Büro. Es konnte also nicht kontrolliert werden, wer hoch fährt. Das habe ich als sehr unsicher empfunden. Bei meiner nächsten Reise nach Stralsund werde ich definitiv ein anderes Hotel wählen.

Unter einem InterCity konnte man vor 5Jahren noch etwas mehr Stil & Großzügigkeit verstehen. Auch das 1.Bild eines Hotels in dieser Kategorie war früher viel mehr "Herzlich Willkommen". Der Eingang -die Türen ware verdreckt. Die Beleuchtung & Deko /Einladung im Foyer nicht großartig. Der Herr "hinter der Scheibe" kam mir vor, wie in einer Bahnhofshalle am Schalter: kein Lächeln, nur auf den Desk geschaut, kein "Herzlich Willkommen", kein "hatten sie eine gute Anreise?" (einfach Small Talk MIT EINEM LÄCHELN = hier.....Fehlanzeige.). Ich fragte nach ob ich an einem bestimmten Parkbereich auch nach 18uhr noch stehen darf oder ob dies nur den Anwohnern zusteht. Der Herr - mit einer Mimik wie 7-Tage-Regen murmelte nur einen auswendig gelernten Text runter, wo man sicher parken kann....ich erwiderte, dass ich allerdings woanders stehe und wollte nur wissen, ob mein Auto dann abgeschleppt wird oder nicht. Er schaute mich dann zum ersten Mal an, und sagte "das weiß ich nicht liebe Frau, ich komme immer mit dem Fahrrad und habe keine Ahnung wo man sonst noch gut stehen kann" ! Ganz ehrlich: ich bin selbst 20 Jahre in der (gehobenen) Hotellerie gewesen und an einer Rezeption = dem Dreh-und Angelpunkt für haufenweise Allgemeine Fragen, IST ES PFLICHT, dass sich auch eine fahrradfahrender Mitarbeiter auskennt und eine FREUNDLICHE Antwort geben kann. Schade!!!! nie wieder! Und: WC-Brille komische Ränder = etwas eklig! Austausch würde helfen!

Wir waren insgesamt 5 Nächte im Intercityhotel in Stralsund. Die Mitarbeitenden an der Rezeption waren freundich und bemüht. Das Zimmer war okay, teilweise aber sehr in die Jahre gekommen, insbesondere der Duschbereich. Die Sauberkeit ist mit Abstand der größte Kritikpunkt. An der Dusche waren Fugen schwarz, ebenso das Silikon. Weiterhin viele unschöne Ablagerungen im Duschbereich. Da müsste Mal richtig geschrubbt werden, so empfand ich es als sehr schmuddelig. Geputzt wird nur auf "Bestellung", was ich bei einem 6 Tage Aufenthalt wirklich nicht nachvollziehen kann. Nach zwei Nächten muss meiner Meinung nach wenigstens eine "kleine" Reinigung erfolgen, wie saugen, schauen ob noch alles da ist usw.. So gab es tagelang keinen Handtuchwechsel und kein Toilettenpapier. Ich musste in der Rezeption darum bitten, wie in einer Jugendherberge. Ich habe dann an unserem 4 Aufenthaltstag darum gebeten, dass geputzt werden soll, was am 5 Tag leider auch nicht geschehen ist. Auf meine Beschwerde hin, wurden dann wenigstens die Mülleimer gelehrt, die nach 5 Tagen übervoll waren. Ich nuss sagen, so etwas habe ich noch nicht erlebt, dass ist ein unterirdischer Reinigungsservice. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht und werde wohl keinen weiteren Aufenthalt in einem Intercityhotel buchen.

Hotel hat leider keine Klimaanlage. Ansonsten liegt das Hotel in Fußgehreichweite zur Altstadt von Stralsund. Ein Pkw Stellplatz ist vorhanden im Parkhaus gleich beim Hotel.

Ich hatte ein Zimmer zur sehr lauten Straße, das lässt sich nur mit geschlossenem Fenster aushalten. Da es aber keine Klimaanlage gibt, wurde es im Zimmer schnell sehr stickig. Ich habe deshalb sehr schlecht geschlafen und würde dieses Hotel nicht mehr besuchen.

Die Bettdecke war eine Zumutung. Wir haben Sommer und dann so eine dicke, warme Decke anzubieten. Matratze und Kissen hat gepasst, aber Decke wirklich Katastrophe zu dieser Jahreszeit.

Hallo, leider fanden wir ds Bett zu klein und eine Matratze zu Zweit, fûhrt bei jeder Bewegung zum Aufwachen des Anderen Das Zimmer war auch sehr warm Ansonsten zweckmäßig eingerichtet mit tollem Seeblick Fußläufig war die Altstadt gut zu erreichen.

Praktische Unterkunft direkt am Bahnhof, man ist aber auch schnell am Hafen. Sehr aufmerksames Personal, das Frühstück ist einfach, aber gut, allemal sein Geld wert.
