Ski race overnight

This was an overnight stay close to a ski race venue. For this purpose the HobKnob was acceptable. Unfortunately the place is showing it’s age. It’s convenient to Stowe mountain but a stay longer than overnight would be too much.

The property lists a restaurant but unfortunately it has been closed due to Covid so they said they leave a breakfast basket in the room, but there wasn't anything. They state that they had a hot tub, but when I asked, they said it was broken. The property overall is nice but for a Junior suite with two queen beds, they charged me for bringing my daughter. They base the price on 2 people..very strange.

Upon arrival the owner was ungracious and seem bothered to have to check us in. The room seemed clean at first but the carpet had stains and the bathtub was dirty. They had hard foam pillows that were cheap and hurt my neck. The coffee machine was missing a part and didn’t work. There was no attempt to shovel snow in front of our door or put salt on the ice that was all over the sidewalk and which we all fell on trying to get to the car. This is just a cheap operation and the owners don’t give a crap.

Winter family getaway

The Hob Knob was perfect for our stay. Hot showers, warm fire place and comfy places to relax and sleep! Parking is right outside the room for easy transport of all our ski equipment and the rooms were quiet. Located minutes away from restaurants and Stowe, we already booked another stay for March at our go to location the Hob Knob!

Good value

Good value. Good location, updated decor. Dog friendly though we did not take advantage of that this particular trip. Continental breakfast provided in room. Ample parking. Good amount of space. This was not a splurge trip we just needed good clean accommodations and this place was perfect for that. Mattresses could be a little better… was a little sore after sleeping!

It's ok, just dont go during holidays.

Our room did not have heating and we called the front desk. After trying to explain to the lady that the heater was DEFINITELY not working she hung up because we interrupted her Thanksgiving dinner and instead of explaining to us what had happened or maybe giving us another room, she was more concerened about going back to her dinner so she left us a small space heater. Barged in, checked the heater to make sure we weren't lying, dropped off the heater and left. We had a 2 night stay booked but left that same night. Good hotel, good front staff but that lady is more concerned about festivities than business.

Pros: Friendly staff, GREAT location near ski areas and shopping, large room, amazing water pressure/temp in shower. Cons: old, bedsheet covers had (dog?) hair on them, door lock was broken so it took several minutes to get into everyday, thin walls- loud neighbor kids kept us awake all night.

We were able to check in early and the property was nicely set back! Quiet location and perfect to still have a short distance to downtown. Room was very cozy and we slept great! We would go back. Great family owned property nestled quietly in the heart of Stowe.

I enjoyed the views from my balcony, ease of check-in. This room had no clock and the shower water flow was not good-half going thru the faucet, half thru the shower head. Took quite a while to rinse my hair. Wonder what the water bill is?

Inn off of Mountain Rd

Basic room and accomodations. The bathroom sink was slow draining and the shower had no fan. The shower itself was dark when you closed the curtain because the shower curtain was very dark and took up the whole open area. They do provided you with a basket of food for breakfast that included a piece of fruit, a granola bar, OJ, and a muffin. Check-in and out were a breeze.

Room was dark and the place was in need of some updates. It was comfortable enough for a short stay. Breakfast was prepackaged carbs and an orange. Pretty scenery outside the room because of changing leaves.

The room and stay were fine. Breakfast left something to be desired (hard-boiled eggs or Greek yogurt would be nice. Orange juice, pre-packaged muffin, granola bar, and clementine is a bit of a sugar bomb.) My main complaint is that we were supposed to have a "mountain view" room but our room had no view of any mountains! All we saw was the parking lot and trees.
