Very comfortable cabins complete with cooking facilities,and very clean and spacious bathroom and living area .Could not fault the accommodation . There is also a wonderful bakery on the premises where you can get a delicious breakfast- including egg benedict and home made bread and pastries . If you stay for lunch there are local wines to try

We would certainly stay again as the staff are friendly and obliging, the cabins are comfortable, the attached bakery is excellent. We did mention to the proprietor that there is an unpleasant odour in the bathroom and he said the toilet was chemical and he would look into it.

Quiet and comfortable - Bakery was good for breakfast - hosts were very approachable - the pub in Laura they recommended was great for a meal and friendly.

Bed very comfortable. Cottage very clean. (Bathroom door difficult to close). Nice & quiet. Nice to sit on verandah & enjoy birds, coffee & breakfast.

We were late leaving Adelaide heading back home up in the north of the state and decided for a change to spend the night at Stone hut. It was surprisingly comfortable and clean. As we arrived late the Caretakers who reside on the corner ( red bomb parked outside ) were extremely helpful and willing to assist in any way. For our needs it suited us down to the ground. Had a beaut tea at the Laura pub and breakfast at the stone hut bakery. Accommodation contact details are available on the front door of the stone hut bakery if you get really stuck. It was spot on for our needs

The cottages here are charming and rustic on the outside, and clean as a whistle inside. Bed very comfortable and showers that are large and work!

A couple of wine glasses would have been nice. Very clean and comfortable and private. Internet coverage is limited in the cabin but the TV reception was excellent. The other facilities provided were also excellent. There isn't really much to do at Stone Hut so probably one night would be enough. There is an excellent bakery which appeared to be very popular when we were there. There is also an interpretative signed historical walk.

inside was well appointed and clean but outside was was in need of maintenance to veranda deck , doors ,ramp and railing .Also floor in kitchen area was unstable .

The peaceful quiet atmosphere and setting made for a very relaxing stay. Tosee the moon and sunrise was lovely and a walk to the river was good. The bonus was the fabulous pies at the bakery and the excellent local wines !

Nothing beats rainwater
Beautiful little town, located next door to the bakery, winery, free petting zoo and aviary, it has everything for the big and little kid. The accommodation is private overlooking open fields, with basic kitchenette and private bathroom. Our biggest highlight though was that it is run on fresh rainwater, which was so nice and refreshing after a long drive around the top end from Qld.

Jean the manager was very kind. We were quite late in arriving and had not been able to do anything other than leave a message well after the advertised office closing time. When we found her direct number on the door of the bakery café next door she was quick to come to our assistance and tell us how to find the cabin - and all in the rain too. Many thanks Jean. The cabin was quite comfortable and suited us well. The kitchen equipment is not large compared with some places but it's adequate. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided. To have some salt and pepper would be nice. The bathroom was a decent size and well equipped . The light switch didn't work however and we had to use the heater lights instead.

Miles from nowhere but very nice
Great cottages in the middle of nowhere. Cooking facilities have improved since our last stay but some ragged edges! No cook/sharp knives, 1 spoon - a shame as this lets down an otherwise excellent place. Or just bring your own stuff and you'll be more than happy.
