"Lovely and lovely hotel in Black Hawk. Enjoyed our stay but note they charge extra for early check in. Had great dining and amenities but had to request a robe and slippers, they also charge you if you take the toiletries provided in the room. Would recommend staying here though. Loved the decor, pool, etc. "

"Very friendly staff. Room was in dire need of TLC - very rough around the edges. Bed was uncomfortable; pillows clumpy & headboards kind of icky."

"We stayed here a couple other times but this stay our room had no a/c which they mention to us when we checked in(after reading past reviews this has been a problem before on numerous occasions). They offered us a box fan which helped a little but was still uncomfortable all night. Next morning shower was Luke warm at best."

"We knew going in that the Argo is a budget hotel. It's clearly an older property and we weren't expecting the Ritz. The bed was clean and comfortable, which is the most important thing. The room has a cute little patio overlooking Clear Creek. The room was really cold when we arrived, and it look a while for it to warm up. The shower was ok, but the water never really got hot. It was barely warm, and I was more chilled getting out than when I got in. Towels were another issue. There were only 2 bath towels; not enough for a couple. The coffee set up was also inadequate. There was only 1 each of regular coffee, decaf, tea, and cocoa; also not enough for a couple. The tv worked fine, but there we were unable to find any movie channels, or any info on how to navigate the available ones. "

"Absolutely bait and switch. Not a single picture on this website or the hotel direct show what some rokms actually look like. Our room had red extremely old stained carpet. Musty. The window ac unit was not installed safely and could be pushed out. They used paper towel to plus holes in the corner (picture). The bathroom door was broken. The front door dragged on the carpet. The bed was so thin and had a foam pad on top. Fridge had some weird food or spill in it. I could go on and on. Door had just under an inch gap I could put my fingers thru so you know it was so loud all night. "
