"Stayed at the Western Lodge for 1 night and it was everything as advertised with a helpful dose of great hospitality from Tammy at the front desk! Location is perfect, right on the strip, easy walking distance from everything you need, but the rooms inside are not noisy from the road (solid construction). The room we stayed in was well-appointed, clean and love having the hardwood floors instead of carpet. Highly suggest staying here, it's a renovated property that has a very helpful staff, is reasonably priced for the location and will definitely stay there again on the next trip to Steamboat."
"This property has been beaten to near death and has a lot of differed Maintenance. The room, had no pictures, carpet was heavily stained with bleach and soiled to the point of I wore flip flops everywhere in the room. Everything was unplugged, tv, alarm clock etc. Coffee Maker was ancient and took forever to heat up hot water.
When I checked in, no one was at the front desk at 3:15p.m. and a sign said we will be back soon. I hate those signs anywhere as I don't know if they left 5 minutes ago or 5 hours ago. 20 minutes passed with no one so I called the main number and received a voice mail. 45 minutes later a gentlemen appeared and I received my keys after a long day of travel.
As an asset manager myself, I shame the owners of this property. Take some pride, put some capital back into your investment and save people like me from writing negative reviews. The cow can only be milked for so long before the milk runs dry."
"Good location. The rooms were adequate. Nice beds. Very quiet. The grout in the bathroom floor was cracking out so it didn't look clean - but it may have been! The description said there was a large soaker tub but I don't think anyone would describe a 1960 tub/shower combo as such! "
"For the price, it was not worth it. The bathroom was so small he barely could sit down to use the bathroom because the door is gonna hit you in the knees. They didn't come and clean our room and we were there for four days. The breakfast is not a continental breakfast. It was just so simple and I would not stay there again oh yeah plus they charge you $12 a day for parking. There's plenty of parking so that's just an extra charge. That is ridiculous."
"It’s an older hotel, but it is clean. I have some issues with my room with the AC, not working and the handheld showerhead breaking in the middle of my shower, but the staff was friendly and put me in another room and the other room was much better."
