We enjoyed the delicious birthday dinner at the restaurant our first night there, and Rosa produced a beautiful Slice of birthday cake as a special treat. Having a hotel on both beachfront and inland waterway is a bonus, both sides provide extraordinary views. We also enjoyed a relaxing couples’ massage. We found the staff friendly and accommodating, the drinks delicious, and we enjoyed time on the lounges on the beautiful beach. Rum punch was favorite beverage to cool off in the afternoons. We enjoyed the location of Umaya, taking walks along the waterfront, as well as driving into Placencia. We highly recommend this lovely hotel."
