I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Camp grounds! This trip was a solo trip for me and I used it just for a little me time. Great place to relax and do exactly nothing. The cabin was nice and cozy. Open to nature and you will hear it as you rest and relax. I realize no place is perfect and perfection was not what I was in need for. This place was more for self therapy and peace. I would do it again if possible or if my health allows

Had an excellent time! It was our first time camping and I am definitely more comfortable with showers and facilities rather than setting up a tent. The owners were excellent and the locals are so friendly! Highly recommend this place, but definitely bring industrial strength bug spray

First the owner is very responsable and very attentive. He is always available . Very conscious about nature . The room is very clean and even that there no ac since the property is in the mountain is fresh at night . Bathroom are very clean . You have everything you need . Thanks so much to the owner for all his attentions toward us . Will be back next year .

View was amazing day and night: one of the best I've ever seen anywhere. Moderate walk to both a sandy and a rocky beach. Be prepared for a "cabin camping" experience. If you expect a sealed-up hotel, you will be unhappy (e.g., we needed to carefully close the shutters during the intermittent rain). Experience in "car camping cooking" will be helpful: there is some good cookware available, as well as a couple shared gas burners and a grill. Plan to buy some supplies before coming over. Very nice place if you just want to "hang out" on the grounds or one of the beaches for a while: there's not a lot of amenities on the island, but the hanging out is great!

This place is an absolute gem. The island is beautiful, the views are stunning and the campground itself is magical. From the red footed tortoises that you can feed each morning to the stunning sunrises that you wake up to each morning, this place is something special. But what truly puts it over the edge is the property managers, Dick and Dawn - these guys made the entire vacation just perfect - from the second they collect you at the ferry to the final sad moment when you have to get back on the boat to head home, they were there whenever needed, with anything you need (and you should listen to them, they know all the best spots and have the inside scoop on all the island activities). In short, this was a perfect vacation thanks to Dawn and Dick and we will be back (hopefully in the next couple of months!)

Loved our stay here! It’s rustic but everything is clean and well-taken care of, and the hosts dick and dawn were wonderful. Enjoyed cooking meals and getting to know our neighbors. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay at VI Camprgounds was wonderful. Our cottage was clean, felt very private, and had an incredible view. Dick and Dawn were friendly and helpful and we instantly felt comfortable. It was easy to navigate the shared spaces (my kids were nervous about the shared bathroom, but quickly accommodated) and had some interesting conversations with other guests. Highlight for me were the delightful tortoises and hermit crabs (and chickens) who came to eat the fruit scraps!

This stay is a lifetime experience! The cabins feel like you are staying in a tree fort. The cabin is all screen so you can hear the birds, the waves at night. The camp managers take the best care of you and share all kinds of tips and tricks. Staying on water island is perfect if you want a low key relaxing experience. I will be definitely be rebooking this incredible place!

Dick and Dawn were amazing host and go above and beyond to make everything perfect. They made everything so easy and fun. We stayed in the suite and it had everything we needed and more to make this more of a glamping trip than camping. We were worried about catching the ferry and getting around the island but Deborah gave us everything we needed to know about the place immediately after booking. Get a golf cart, you won't regret it. Thanks for everything VI Campground and we can't wait to see you again!

Views were absolutely breathtaking! Very relaxing, off the beaten path spot. Cabins were very simple but sleeping in the ocean breeze with the sounds of nature was just what I needed. Met some other cool campers there. One of the most beautiful beaches I have seen within 5 minutes walking distance. Dick and Dawn were helpful, friendly and always available. Definitely going back.

This property was super cool! It's definitely a type of glamping experience, Dick and Dawn are super sweet and are very welcoming I had a great stay getting to m ow the guests as well and the area was beautiful. the outside kitchen is a super cool experience to cool outside and enjoy the nature. They had your own cubby full of your own utensils and shared pots and pans for guests just had to hand wash dishes! They had a refrigerator section for you and food cubby's in your room. It's screened in well, this is definitely for an experience so I saw it was worth it. The Beach on the island is very nice and we saw tons of sea turtles and some sting rays on the beach near by the restaurant at the beach was good and so were the drinks that's all we ended up trying during our stay! The last ferry onto the island is at 6 pm so that's good to note you have to catch it by then.
