Room was clean, parking was good. Close to lots of things. Had a weird smell in the room when we first got there. Beds were ok. Room was good sized. No refrigerator or microwave. Overall was worth the price
Staff was friendly, the ac was cold, bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was great, but the property was very neglected and run down, did not have a refrigerator or microwave, and no elevator, also had a musty odor, luckily we just needed a place to sleep during a music festival because that’s all it was good for is a place to sleep and shower
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, and the location was perfect and everyone was very kind and helpful. The front desk staff were especially supportive special thanks to Gizem for her outstanding help and warm attitude. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!
Musty mildewy smell in our room and the hallway. Shower was small so if your a big guy like me it was pretty tight. Staff was nice and cleaners did a good job. Bed was probably the worst ive slept on at a hotel. Better bring a laptop or ipad to watch movies on because tv was bunny ears( like 6 channels)

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Disappointed only because there was nothing stating that the bar and kitchen had been shut down months ago and it was a big reason for why I picked the hotel in the first place. My power went out in my room during the stay and the shower pressure made it a struggle to rinse soap out of my hair. I realized after I arrived that they are doing some renovations, just would have been nice to post that on the listing for the hotel.

This hotel was pretty much on par with what the other Expedia reviewers have described, so it was what I expected. It's under renovation so it has pretty much no amenities (the restaurant and bar aren't open and not much else to do there). I just mainly wanted it for the prime location downtown, which it was definitely in a great spot.
The big thing everyone needs to plan for and pay attention to, is that as other reviews have accurately stated, there is practically no parking. BUT, even though I didn't get a spot this time, I did learn from the front desk how to beat everyone to a spot before being shut out. You need to arrive the moment check-in opens up at 3pm. Check-in and pay for your parking, then you get a pass to put on your window, but you can leave, you don't have to stay in your spot because they'll cut everyone else off later once the passes sell out. If you show up at 5 or 6pm, you're not likely to get one. This is a tip for their parking policy, I wish another reviewer would've posted this, so I'm doing it now to help others. Other than the parking hassle, this hotel is acceptable for a clean, quiet stay downtown St Pete.

Overall a fine stay. The bathroom could've been much cleaner and they ran out of parking for pride weekend, but the staff were all very kind and helpful. The checkin was quick and easy and not too expensive.
We were appalled by the condition of the hotel, especiaaly the room! We were checked in by a very nice women (Buriel) who was efficient and professional. However, when we arrived in the room there was not a remote for the TV and when one was provided, we could not watch it because it operated off wifi and the signal was too weak...we missed the college football finals. The bathroom faucet sprayed water when turned on, the shower faucet did not function properly as well. Several outlets were broken or nonfunctioning. The biggest issue was that the room was ice cold and it did not have heat! The cleanliness was mediocre making us feel dirty. It just seemed that management had given up. This was the 3rd time staying at the Exchange Hotel, and it will be, sadly, our last.
Everyone was kind and helpful and the room was clean. The location to downtown and to the Jannus live venue was perfect. Within a 5 minute walk. They were kind to my emotional support animals and I had free parking right next to the hotel. They said they had just reopened so the couple of things like the elevator not working ( got my steps in) and my shower being cold (was refreshing after dancing all night) were the only downsides. For one night and being a historic location, it was a great stay.😊
Really really awful hotel. Do not recommend. Dirty, old, musty- absolutely nothing worked. Not the lights, tv, elevator. There is no pool, no daily housekeeping, no bar, nothing. False advertising. The only saving grace was the staff were extremely kind and the parking fee was waived.
First night was great. Quiet and comfy. Second night didn’t even stay because we watched the front desk employee do a line of coke off the front desk when we walked in. Meanwhile he let a bunch of people party it up in the hallways. Expedia listing said parking was included…it’s not. They charge $10 a night to park. There is no pool. It’s dried up. There is no free breakfast included as stated on the booking. The light fixture in our bathroom was being held up by a toothbrush. Shower barely had any water pressure. Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Please don’t stay here.

Charming but a little over priced for the age and quirks of the building. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking is a little tricky but manageable. Great area, walking distance to many great shops, restaurants and nightlife.

This is an older hotel and it is evident. There are a number of things that the hotel doesn't have which more modern hotels do but to me it was minimal. They appear that they're doing their best to make it work but just be aware.
The location is 10/10 and the staff is extremely friendly. For the price compared to other hotels in the area I would highly recommend it if you can stand smaller bathrooms and less modern amenities.
Overall, it was a great experience.
The room was great. Had a little problem with the AC when we first got into the room, but within minutes of notifying the Front Desk hotel staff was there and got the AC to start working properly. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, nice and kind. overall, the stay at the exchange was wonderful and we will be going back.
