Relax Inn St. Paul’s Bay

Very good hotell. Simple, amazing staff, very clean and very good location. Would recommend if you like simple accommodations and good location.

I booked the Relax Inn Hotel as its within walking distance to Bugibba Square and there are plenty of different restaurants and shops to browse and have a snack or meal. The Relax was a nice friendly place and my room was very nice with a lovely balcony to sit out on and enjoy the sun.the aircon was great as it was 30 + degrees during my stay. There were plenty of channels on the tv if you wanted to relax and watch it..I will definitely be booking there again

Located in a good place, room was clean, bathroom/shower room great. Breakfast was continental and good for the price. It was good for what I required.

Room was comfortable with nice bathroom, excellent continental breakfast. The common area in the hall should be refreshed and renewed but the overall has a good potential. Personnel was really kind and helpful.

Awful nights sleep.

Hotel staff was friendly enough. Somewhat helpful, but my stay was terrible had 2 night decent sleep out of 7 can hear everything that goes on in other rooms and people are not quiet there doors slamming all night long. We had very noisey people next to us and opiate us to the point we had to tell them to be quiet ourselves. Then they would come bk and do it all again around 5 am. I went for a break from my busy life and I had a lot less sleep then I normally get some mornings I was up from 4 am. Also beds was terrible to the point I had to ask for blankets just to put on the mattress to make it a little better.

Being on the first floor we were initially disturbed by traffic and people on the street. It was clean and that's our priority. For the price it was good, with a friendly staff.

Relax Inn personal experience

My stay was good, and staff are friendly and very helpful. however the bedroom door was my only problem, it was really difficult to open if I locked it from the inside. Then the same problem trying to get back into the room, others had the same problem with some doors. The hotel is basic yet rooms are newly done up and lovely large walk in showers. Location is perfect and sea view rooms are available. I would stay here again for sure.

Very good hotel , clean , next to bus station , the city is very beautiful! Next to boat station for gozo , comino Maria the owner is very lovely, she give very good advices and tips for visiting Malta . The breakfast is very good with lot of choice. Only wrong point is the wifi. Not enough. And isolation . U will hearing pepole in corridor and slap door . We recommend

The property is located very close to shops, restaurants and the seafront. It is located less than 10 minutes walk from the bus station and the very convenient Wileg station. The bathroom was new and functional, the room was on average new and large. On the terrace of the room there was no drying rack and the chairs were not very clean. The roof terrace has a beautiful view, the swimming pool is small but is equipped with a toilet and shower. The very kind and friendly staff satisfied our every need and provided all kinds of information. A special greeting to Rachele, Maria and all the staff.

Positives- lots of restaurants nearby, staff were friendly, decent breakfast Negatives- room not that clean on arrival and only tidied, not cleaned throughout stay (one day we were out until 4pm and it still hadn’t been cleaned), uncomfortable bed, very thin walls so it was very noisy and we got very little sleep, wifi was patchy, to get hot water in the shower meant the water pressure dropped and was barely a sprinkle

The room was basic, the position was great, it was everything as expected in terms of those conditions. Let’s get to the appalling part. After the first day we found a big cockrouch in the bathroom and luckily I was fast enouch to kill it with my slipperies. I got downstairs to ask explanations to the receptionist and I was met with laughs and inappropriate comments like “it’s normal” “I see them too in my apartment” and so on. Of course no one did not want to check my room to see if there are others. Imagine, I had to beg him to lend me a broom to remove the dead animal myself. What kind of hotel is it? Where is the service? Basically, I was lucky to have killed it alone and fast, if not I would have slept with the cockrouch whole evening and more 😂 I asked to change the room for an upper floor and of course the guy did not write anything for the receptionist of the day before (he told thousands time he would). Of course, they did not change the room and the day after the other receptionist laughed at me again with comments like “it was not that big, I have seen of bigger size”. Believe me, it was big. Anyway disturbing comments. I had to wait 2 additional days to first hear from a receptionist “I am sorry for the inconvenience”. I had to write myself on a paper in my room to the cleaning staff to not open windows when cleaning (cockroaches came from the bathroom window which we kept close) because the hotel staff was useless.

Rooms are clean but tired, needs new mattresses, and pillows need renewed, these were awful. Towels were changed daily but also these were needing replaced. Air con is noisey as is the street outside, take ear plugs. Balcony is small but adequate, not somewhere to sit in evening. Hotel in general need of modernising. Best thing about this Hotel was Maria in the breakfast room, she is a gem, cant do enough for you, kind and so helpful, full of information. Breakfast was limited but for 5 euros thats not a complaint. Wouldnt stay here again but would pop in to see Maria.
