Vårt favorit-ställe under vår resa i Sydafrika!

Värdparet gav oss ett väldigt personligt och varmt bemötande och omhändertagande, vi kände oss som en del av familjen (-: Vi fick också utmärkta tips på både aktiviteter och restauranger i St. Lucia och dess närområde. Rummet vi fick var väldigt rymligt med eget vardagsrum och frukosten var också suverän: fräsch, färsklagad och god!

Non è assolutamente un 4 stelle, hotel dislocato in più parti contigue fra loro. Noi soggiornavano in una parte non principale, la struttura è molto semplice, nelle parti comuni troviamo cucina, barbecue interno,salone per pranzo e cena, piscina e bel giardino esterno. Camere non pulitissime, veneziane con polvere da mesi, fessure alle finestre che poteva passare qualsiasi animale, infatti abbiamo trovato un grande scarafaggio in camera. Colazione sufficiente, non ci torneremmo affatto. Mafari cercare qualcosa nelle vicinanze tenendo conto che la zona è molto umida, dunque valutare bene magari qualche piano superiore e più vicino a Mckenzie street

I liked everything about Avalone. On arrival the owners were very welcoming and helpful. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. The breakfast was good and well served. The property has a lovely garden and swimming pool.

Wonderful place to stay

Had a great stay at Avalone Guest House. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful room clean and smart with good facilities and an excellent breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend St Lucia as a place to visit and Avalone as a place to stay

Overall good experience however there was no internet at the property and they had not received any notification about our arrival as well as they had not received payment for our stay at the lodge from hotels.com. We were Dvised that internet will start in 3 hours and they have reported to service provider, I have there was no network available until we left. Other then that place was very clean, well equipped etc. I look forward to receiving a response from hotels.com re advertisement if free internet available. We feel that our stay was pricey. Thanks

The guest house is set in a tropical garden with a lovely pool area and sun beds etc. Our suite was extremely spacious with super bathroom and comfy beds. It had two balconies from which we could watch the birds and other wildlife which we loved.

Avalone Guset House - worthy of repeat stay

thankfully the other higher ranked accommodation was already booked out, because Avalone Guest House was very very very good Rooms were big and clean, well furnished. Check-in was friendly. Garden and pool area was beautifully done Check-out was friendly I only give 5 stars to an accommodation that I will return to again if visiting an area again. Avalone Guest House was so perfect, If ever going to St Lucia I will not spend the 1-2 hours on the internet looking at reviews, selecting a place in St Lucia and rather spend my time researching on things to do in the area

Ruhig aber sehr zentral im wirklich hübschen Örtchen St. Lucia befindet sich dieses schöne Guesthouse, welches aus zwei einzelnen Gebäuden mit riesigen Zimmern und noch größeren Gemeinschaftsflächen sowie zwei Pools besteht. Über die Art der Einrichtung lässt sich geschmacklich streiten, die Sauberkeit ist jedem Fall vorbildlich gewesen. Ebenso wie das Frühstück und die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber, Sean und Adel. Ihre Tipps fürs Abendessen sowie die Buchungen von Freizeitaktivitäten (Tipp: unbedingt das Veyane Cultural Village für einen Einblick in die Welt der Zulus besuchen!) waren allesamt exzellent. Einzig: da wir die Hippos leider „nur“ auf unserem Bootsausflug und nicht nachts gesehen haben, müssen wir wohl nochmals wiederkommen!? Sowieso sollte man mindestens 2-3 Nächte in St. Lucia bleiben, da es eine der schönsten Gegenden von ganz Südafrika ist.

Heerlijk verblijf in St Lucia,

Wij hadden een familiekamers, omdat wij reisden met onze kleinzoon. Hij had een slaapkamer voor hem alleen. Er stond een stapelbed en een groot éénpersoonsbed. Een ruime woonkamer. Er was een klein zwembad voor de kamer en een groot zwembad bij de ontbijtruimte. De eigenaars zijn erg vriendelijk. Er is ook een ruime living en een grote keuken waar gebruik gemaakt van kan worden. Het is een ideale uitvalsbasis om Cape Vidal en de Wetlands te bezoeken. En om uit eten te gaan is er voldoende keuze in St Lucia. En met veel geluk kom je s’avonds nog een hippe op straat tegen.

Sehr nette Gastgeber die sich mit viel Engagement um einen kümmern. Das hotel ist sauber und sehr ruhig. Die Betten sind komfortabel und das Frühstück vielfältig und lecker. Das Gelände ist schön gelegen mit hübschen Garten und Pool. Am Abend sollte man Sich nur noch mit Auto durch den Ort bewegen weil dann hippos durch die Straßen laufen. Guter ort von dem man sowohl isimangaliso wie auch hluhluwe anschauen kann. Ich würde es weiter empfehlen.

Wish we stayed longer!

Avalone guesthouse was exactly what we needed after a long day at safari! Shaun was incredibly accommodating with our unique requests. The guesthouse was large, with two beautiful pools, nicely decorated, and really fabulous bathrooms in the rooms. It was on a quiet street, just a few blocks off the main drag. So glad we stayed here and would definitely recommend it!

St Lucia is a great place to chill or game watch or deep sea fish for a few days or a week or so. I stay regually on business and also for the fun of it. There are many bnbs and hotels in town but Avalon is the best place to stay.... friendly knowledgeable staff and.the best breakfast by far.

I was staying here on business, but the venue and area is so good, my wife joined and we are now staying at the Avalon - just for fun. Since comfort and privacy now trumps speed and efficiency, we were moved from the room next to the dining area to one with great views and privacy. Its that kind of thinking that results in such great hospitality.

Shaun and Adel will try to accommodate your every need and are a wealth of info and advice on what to do and where to go in this tourist hot spot.
