The staff was polite and helpful. Our sink and our tub both did not drain at all which was gross, but our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! Good location and fun decor.

This is definitely a unique hotel. The book/author themes is kind of cool, but overall it felt very outdated. The giant bear in the lounge area looks like it's been there for 100 years...missing fingers and toes...very dusty. Pool area could be really great if they had less metal tables and more loungers. Breakfast was a bonus.

We've been traveling for several days, and this hotel had the best atmosphere, the breakfast had the best selection of pastries, comfortable beds, fantastic staff (one even offered to drive us to a location where we could have "authentic" St. Louis barbeque, and the shampoo/conditioner/lotion/bath gel were so good I'm going to purchase some for home. We also loved how close it was to the zoo~ we walked there two days.
