This is a unique property close to the main downtown area of St. John’s. It reminded me of being in Las Vegas. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and was well maintained. I had an issue and the front desk staff was able to move us to a different room on the same floor. The only thing that would have been nice to have in the room is body lotion. The Jag provides shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, a hair dryer and even an odd dental floss dispenser but no body lotion.

We were disappointed in a number of small issues. - the two bedside reading lamps didn’t work. Housekeeping was notified when we checked in but two days later on checking out they still had not been repaired. - there was an iron which was of no use because there was no ironing board. - the empty Kleenex box on the bathroom counter was left unfilled until we found a fresh box in the cabinet underneath and did it ourselves. - the complimentary breakfast passes were not given to guests who had reserved through a third party like Expedia. - it was impossible to escape from the intrusive music playing everywhere - elevators, lobbies, eating areas. It made conversation at meals difficult. All combined these small annoyances made for a less than satisfactory experience at the JAG.

Check in time is 4 PM room not available or ready until almost 600 PM. No apology offered.Poor communication between management and staff when addressing any concerns. Rooms are very dark and dreary, our shower was moldy. Cleaning service was subpar as there was many times we would come home from a day of being out and would have to call down as the rooms have not been cleaned, bed have not been made up and bathroom not cleaned. Our concerns were brought up to management in regarding the housekeeping services. Management offered us a free breakfast and even that got screwed up, when we went to have our breakfast, they had no reservations and again we had to go to management. Very disappointed would not recommend.

Everything about the property was unique! From the Alice in Wonderland-like furnishings, the portraits of rock ‘n’ roll icons on the walls, to the music playing through an excellent sound system, everything about the hotel stands out. The Mojo bar has terrific drinks.It would have been nice to have lotion and bottled water in the hotel rooms. The dental floss dispenser was definitely a novelty. Never seen that anywhere before! It was close to everything downtown and very walkable. The Exile restaurant was great. Excellent food. The doorman there to open the doors for you at all times was really a cool feature. Very upscale! And they were all very friendly.

Had an amazing time; very funky interior (lobby) and helpful staff. Number of dining options; although, the property is located in the heart of downtown St. Johns with Water Street and George Street hardly 5 minutes walking distance. Only valet parking option available; however, very reasonable rates. Highly recommended!!!
