The staff was amazing! The resort was beautiful! We enjoyed everything except the buffet food which was bland and cold. The Italian restaurant was delicious. Our room was nice but the shower leaked so the paint in the entryway was peeling and kind of smelled like mildew at the end of the day. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The beach itself was not the nicest, and unfortunately the experience inside the resort did not make up for it. All of the rooms smelled very humid and the AC in our room was not working properly, which made the stay quite uncomfortable. We specifically paid extra for a beach view room, but what we received was an obstructed view instead. That was very frustrating, especially considering the price. The food was also very disappointing. The restaurants were nearly impossible to book. They only have three restaurants and they close one each day, which leaves the others completely booked. Even when we finally managed to get a reservation, the food and experience were no better than the buffet. To make matters worse, the staff was not particularly welcoming or helpful throughout the stay. Overall, this was not the experience we expected. During our trip we visited Silversands, and the difference was very noticeable. Silversands is a beautiful property with a stunning beach and a much nicer overall atmosphere. That will definitely be where I choose to stay next time.

The spa was nice. All the staff throughout the resort were friendly, they ensured they greeted you and asked if you needed anything. Tanisha from the Kids Club was so nice and welcoming to our toddler. The food could have been better (ants were found on bread & a drink I ordered, hair was found in food and on plates, glasses were dirty). The restaurants that require reservations didn’t offer much variety. Fridge room was not cold. Sodas/juices were watered down in the buffet. A big bug (what looked like a big roach) was spotted in the theater area. I didn’t like that the resort was kid friendly but the restaurant didn’t offer plastic cups for kids in the dining area. There was a couple times we ordered from Nibles and Room Service and the food was either cold or incorrect. The pools was regular, nothing fancy; there was a splash pad for kids. Not too much entertainment during the day. It was my birthday and I was looking forward to something a little special on that day like Riu did for my birthday but I returned to 1 balloon on my door. I thought it was cute that at arrival their was a sash on the door that said HBD though. I got a massage which was nice and relaxing. But it started 25 mins late. Overall, personally I wouldn’t return to this resort again. But it’s not the worst.

Check-in was extremely slow and our room wasn't ready, had to wait 2 hrs, it was past 6pm before we had our room. Once in our room our luggage wasn't in our room, had to call to get our suitcase with more wait time. Very frustrating after a long day of travel. Hotel seems to have a lack of personnel. Definitely not a 5* hotel

Overall, the property was clean and well kept, the rooms were clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. However, the food can use improvement. I stayed at the resort with family and we felt that options at the buffet were limited. In addition, some items were "hit or miss" in that some food items were good but others were not. There are three speciality restaurants but I could only get reservations for two, which were the indian and french restaurants. The food at the indian restaurant was not good and requires vast improvement. The french restaurant was good. The cafe had a nice selection of ice creams and deserts. If you do get to try the nutmeg ice cream do it cause it's delicious. Overall a good stay but food needed improvement.

Staff was mostly nice. Some seemed like we were interrupting their day. The resort was sold to us with having a pool table (we love to play pool) but when we asked we had to be a Diamond member & that's if it was in our Diamond room (??), The Royalton app didn't work properly (some days the circle said you were on Wednesday but the top said Thursday. The events were scheduled but not sure where to find them as there was not a location on most or when you showed up there was nothing happening. Pool exercises were great and team there was great too! We came in on Saturday but couldn't get housekeeping unless we asked for it?? We finally asked on Tuesday & got it on Wednesday. We did try all the specialty restaurants; they were good, but the buffet lacked foods-we tried foods we didn't even know what they were because the labels next to them were wore off and unreadable. Fitness area was great! We probably won't revisit this particular spot in future. Loved the sun & clean pool waters!

The swim up bar in the pool does not work and it is not functional hasent been working for a while the staff told us, it is a total bate and switch, I picked this resort just because it advertised in the photo that had a swim up bar but once i got there was nothing like it was advertised

Anytime I had to deal with any staff. I felt like I was bothering them … the App to make dinner reservations was not working. And anytime I tried to make reservations in person at the front desk or at the restaurant I was told. It HAD to be done on the app. But the app was not working. So I was told I had to miss out ! For my 4 day stay. I could NOT Eat at Any of the restaurants. We arrived at the hotel at 3:30. Check-in is 3:00. Our room was not even ready until 4:00. Than we had to wait 20 mins for a cart to take us to our room. When I went to book an excursion. I was told it was totally booked until Saturday. This was not true …. My daughter went to the desk when the next person came. And was able to book the excursion for Anyday. Anytime I have never encountered a staff. That just “didn’t care” at all about there guests. The property was so beautiful and clean. But the service was terrible. I would never go back.
