The place was generally kept clean. The check in process was a little challenging since there was only one staff to handle a flood of people. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The amenities were adequate for its purpose. The in-house restaurant was very good. The breakfast buffet was adequate for any traveller. The location was close to town center with plenty of shops to choose from. And, it was close to the cruise port where we would embark for another journey.

Breakfast buffet was excellent. Centrally located. We were just there for one night for cruise. The location is walkable from the bus station. The front desk ladies were very helpful and friendly. I love the bed mattress. Close to the cruise port. We took a cab and paid 10.00 pounds. The hotel has a phone that you can call to make transfer arrangements. Very convenient.

It should have been more obvious that there was no air conditioning at this property. Especially when it's 30+ (90F) in the room. I would not have booked it. Employees were generally pleasant and helpful. The bathroom had obvious water damaged in bathroom and plenty of spiders. The bed was very hard. It was the most unpleasant hotel I've experienced in about 20 years. The food was ok in the restaurant, but the main feature was the AC. If booked during a cooler time, it would suffice for one night.

Great location for one or two nights in Southampton. The hotel is dated but clean great little restaurant/bar on the fifth floor. Highly recommend for cruisers.

No one at the front desk. A sign that says” check in at 3pm”. No air-conditioning during the hottest summer in the UK, June 2026. No safe, no phone or refrigerator in the room. They have water kettle and provide coffee packets & sugar. No cleaning or servicing the room unless you ask for it. I asked for it, they did it one day and I had to go down again to tell them because they didn’t clean it the second day of our stay. Bathroom has one bottle of something to wash your body and hair. The tub is narrow & deep. Very difficult to step out of it. Liked their towels. You can walk to the shopping area and to the central train station ( 15min or so). You have to pay for breakfast ~£11.

This was our 2nd stay. Sara at front desk was again amazing & made our stay very welcoming. Good value for the dollar but no facecloths or phones in the room is a bit disappointing.

Breakfast and dinner pkg was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good for short stays. No AC or heat - only fan and portable heater. No safe to keep valuables, no hooks for hand towel or clothes. Seriously needs to be renovated.
