Diwali and Holi could be the most spoken about festivals of India, but the biggest revelry in Bengal, Durga Pujo festival which takes place for 5 days(apparently) in Autumn is worth the mention to the culture and Art connoisseurs around the world. Being a Bengali,though I’m residing abroad in US for many years now, each year my heart wails and I turn restless if I’m not able to make it to my homeland to get the smell of Autumn and Durga Pujo. It brings me immense pride to introduce you all about the festival in my culture and place of birth. This is the annual celebration of Hindu religion revering the Homecoming of Ma Durga, the Goddess representing Shakti or Female Strength &power. Its a multi day festival that features elaborate temples, pandals(stage decorations) , scriptures, performance arts, fairs, food, oceanic count of crowds and lots of fun. This is that time of the year where artists from every corner of West Bengal come together and put their sweat for months and months in preparing these works of grandeur Art, just to treat our eyes on these special five days in Autumn, Sept/Oct. During this time, people of every age group, religious backgrounds, caste and languages come together to be lost equally in this revelry of absolute food and fun. "The property is new, and the facilities are well maintained. The property is a bit inside of the main road, so spotting it might be a hassle. The rooms are actually very small in size, and that is an issue(for some, maybe). Also the hotel doesn't allow food from outside(to promote their costly in-room dining facilities), which is a hassle. Overall, the stay is awesome if we don't take into account the small rooms and no outside food policy. Have stayed for only one day, so can't really comment on the cleanliness on a day- to- day basis."

"I really loved the personalised service provided by the owner as it is a family owned hotel and they go above and beyond to make you feel like you're at home. Nice food for breakfast, the owner even took us into the city and assisted us during our stay. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and air conditioned. It was a nicely located property and a very friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here only during my future trips. They also accomodated a late check in at 4am due to our late flight in and check in process was smooth and easy. Could not be happier with my experience here at this hotel. "
