Unforgettable experience

The hotel had stunning views of the Sorrento town and the Vesuvius volcano, which we enjoyed very much everyday. The hotel shuttle bus to the downtown was very punctual and efficient. There's nothing to complain. We were satisfied with every aspect of the hotel, and would definitely like to stay here again.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish! The rooms, staff, drinks and food were excellent but what took our breath away was the views! To wake up and see that view every morning as we walked down to breakfast was amazing! Desk staff are very helpful with suggestions and the free breakfast has a great variety. Pool was refreshing and getting a lounger was not difficult. Rooms and common areas all clean and well taken care of. Really a fantastic place to stay, we would gladly stay there again!

Gorgeous property. All you need right at your fingertips: excellent food, friendly staff, fantastic staff pool with plenty of loungers, masseuse available for booking, gym, and spacious beautifully decorated rooms. Complementary Shuttle available to and from town. Can get crowded during busy times (dinner), however, the shuttle driver always made arrangements to get guests back to the hotel quickly.

The location was excellent, far enough from central Sorrento to give it a chilled, quiet atmosphere, but close enough to get into town (on the complementary bus, which was a nice touch). The service, food, and pool were also top quality as well. The only things that let the hotel down were 1) it was being redecorated/ refurbished throughout our stay, so there were a lot of workmen around, even in the corridors by the rooms (unnerving for my teen girls), and our first rooms were constantly covered in paint/ building dust, and 2) the quality of the fittings and build of the rooms was poor, with surprisingly shoddy workmanship Having said that, the staff changed our rooms early on to ones that were less impacted by the workmen, and we really enjoyed our stay regardless.

The breakfast was delicious, and there was something for every palette 😋 The shuttle service to the town Square Square was convenient and saved us money! STUNNING views, kind, helpful, and professional staff, excellent food and service. It’s a little far from town, but there is a dependable, prompt free shuttle that runs every hour that takes you into town. Be aware that once you get off of the shuttle, you will need to navigate a staircase to get to the lower streets that take you to the town center. My husband is currently dependent on a cane, and I was worried about this, but he did fine. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Sorrento, we will stay at Hottl Aminta!

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. It is worth every penny! The staff is so amazing and friendly and the guests were fabulous too. I fell under the weather towards the end of the trip and they were super helpful to us finding a doctor and getting us taxis for our departure. Definitely will be staying here again when we visit Sorrento!

This property was lovely! The shuttle was extremely convenient and saved us so much money on cabs into town. It’s about a 10 minute ride into downtown Sorrento. Breakfast was amazing and the view was INCREDIBLE. We really enjoyed sitting on the terrace and having a drink. Only comments to note would be that the pool and jacuzzi close at 7pm which is quite early when the sun sets around 9pm. Also, the restaurant offerings were quite fancy and expensive so we couldn’t have a casual dinner at the hotel for our more low key days. Service was great and we enjoyed reserving time in the small gym available.

Our stay at Hotel Gran Aminta was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-tier. The housekeeping staff kept our room spotless and went above and beyond every day. A special shoutout to the porter who helped with our bags—he was incredibly friendly and professional. The food was absolutely delicious—we looked forward to every meal. The bar service was excellent, and the bartender made sure we always had what we needed. Reception was just as impressive—warm, welcoming, and always helpful. The entire staff truly made our experience unforgettable. This hotel gets a 10 out of 10 from us. We would absolutely return and recommend it.

I had stayed at the Grand Aminta pre-COVID and had a great stay there. This time I brought another group of friends for a local visit, and we also had a fabulous time. The room was a nice size, and we were upgraded to a balcony terrace room. We enjoyed the views and fresh air breezes until evening. Unfortunately, cyclists like to rev their engines as they head up the winding hills so we were not able to sleep with the windows open. Breakfast was good each morning and watching the sun rise over the hills was especially relaxing. We had dinner at the hotel several nights. The bracciole was to die for -- tender, well-seasoned and in a delicious red sauce. Motto bene!!! The hotel provides a shuttle service into downtown Sorrento. It leaves every hour and returns on the half-hour, starting at 9am. We walked from the shuttle drop off to the local train to Pompeii and then another day walked to the ferry to Capri for a day. Another day, we had a small group tour of the Amalfi Coast and took an Uber from the hotel which was easy to arrange. I highly recommend the Grand Aminta for convenience, great service and comfortable accommodations!

Beautiful property that is situated high above Sorrento with spectacular views of the Mediterranean coast. Within 1.5 miles of the shopping and dining area of Sorrento. The hotel also provides a daily shuttle to/from the city which runs until 11:30 p.m. perfect for our needs.
