「The owner was out of the country. The office had a note on the door saying my room was unlocked with the key inside. Safety first... Two attempts to contact the owner at the posted number were not answered until 1:45am. If there had been an access issue or emergency we'd have been screwed. 「We very much enjoyed our night at theThe Porches Inn. Check-in was easy, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower was the best rainfall shower I have ever had and we even had a claw foot bathtub! The only drawback to our room was proximity to the main entrance door of the building which could hear opening and closing. 「Staff is always welcoming & accommodating. Had and issue with a noisy dog in the room below our room; when I notified the front desk, they tried to deal with it; when that failed, they were quite willing to move us to a different room. 」
