This was our first time in Alaska. We came there to mostly fish the availability of the freezers and the room they had to store your fishing was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and always asked how they could help us.

While the outside looks worn the rooms are very nice. The rooms are clean and the beds are also comfortable. For fishermen there is easy access to the Kenai river with cleaning stations if you get lucky.

I absolutely loved the view from our room. We had a huge window that looked straight out over the river. Also, those windows had blackout shades. So the Alaskan summer can be turned off when it is time to sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. The property was well maintained. The staff was very nice and helpful. Check-in, checkout was very easy.

This "lodge" is a motel. The room is what you would expect from a roadside motel on a desolate highway in a bad movie. The rooms were clean but dated and not well maintained. The doors stuck, including the bathroom door, and were incredibly loud to open and close. The fridge did not work. The door lock was a residential deadbolt that did not make you feel secure at all. The towels were so small you could not wrap them around your body and I'm not a large person. Our room was near the bar, it was quite loud late into the night which was frustrating considering this is the only location to stay for early morning fishing trips. There is bright exterior lighting outside your window which shines into your room regardless of the curtains. The highlight of this trip was the motel staff. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We were able to receive a late check out which was incredibly helpful. Any question we had was met with a smile and prompt help. Truly kind and helpful people.
