Absolutely stunning hotel, thanks so much to Michelle & the staff at reception who made our stay very memorable. City Centre is a 15-20 minute walk, but it is a very pleasant walk that we decided to do every day. Lavov Most metro is nearby and is only 1 stop to Serdika station in the city centre if you prefer this option. When we come back to Sofia we will stay at this hotel again. One of the best I have stayed in. Rooms are so comfortable and clean! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great choice for Sofia.

It was my first time in Sofia and I feel that I made a great choice in staying at the Hotel Via Serdika. The area was safe and quiet. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I liked that I was able to walk to many of the sights that I wanted to see.

Das Zimmer mit Whirlpool hatte nur den Whirlpool und keine separate Dusche. Im Bereich des Pools gab es keine verlässliche Möglichkeit sich festzuhalten. Es könnte rutschig werden. An den Fenstern gab es abgeschnittene Kabel. Es gab nur einen Lift. Die Lage ist nicht besonders. Eine Bushaltestelle ist vor dem Hotel. Ich wurde einmal gestört, weil ein Techniker eine Wartung am Whirlpool vornehmen sollte. Der stellte fest, dass es ein anderes Zimmer sein muss. Beim Check In war der Safe verriegelt. Das Frühstück war OK. Das Personal im Frühstücksraum könnte gerne den Eindruck erwecken, dass es gerne Gäste bewirtet.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. The room we had was extremely noisy! The location wasn’t bad if you’re a walker. Taxi drivers were generally nice. Plan on about 20 euro to get you to the hotel from the airport.The staff agreed to schedule a taxi for us at 4:15 am the day before we left and we confirmed they had done so because we had a super early flight and the gate closed early. 8 Taxis passed us but none stopped. The gentleman at reception called again and the taxi finally arrived 15 plus minutes late. The beds were okay and the air conditioning (mini split) worked well. The woman who checked us in however was absolutely humorless. Sofia is a beautiful city but if I were to return I would choose a hotel closer to the many historic buildings that are located in a relatively small area.
