Clean and the Perfect Location

Easy check in and the hosts were amazing. Really nice and helpful. Room was clean with a double bed and single bunk bed. The bathroom was clean. Really nice one night stay. Had no issues at all. 10 minutes from the Skegness Promenade. 2 mins by car from Fantasy Island. 2 mins from Butlin's. Perfect location.

All that you need and more.

After a last minute trip for my daughters birthday and a quick phone call with John, we booked three rooms. Upon arrival John met us and showed us the rooms and gave us some information about the local area. Rooms were spot on, amazing location and a quality price. As a commuter, I do not often leave feedback as I stop out quite a lot, however the family rooms are amazing and I will be back again with my family!

The motel its self was located in a quiet area but close enough to shops pubs arcades & fantasy island. There is a takeaway right next door but it’s not hectic. The room has its own had its own front door so not walking corridors and no set times to be back. The room was big fresh & clean and had its own bathroom with shower and was spotless. The couple that own the motel were very nice and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend the traveler's rest as a place to stay for family and friends as they were also very child friendly too. I will definitely be returning back to the lodge as it’s definitely worth the money and alll in all we had a fantastic relaxed stay.

We stayed the week. It was as described. Easy parking. Ground floor meant easy access. My negative comment is about ventilation. I am sure the hosts will make this fix ... there needs to be an opening fanllght window in this room. There is an expeller fan in the bathroom. I thought hard about leaving a comment, but for repeat business, in an otherwise reasonable location and adequate room, there would need to be an opening window for ventilation. Apart from that, i would have come back.

Much better than some reviews would suggest.

I booked this stay without reading the reviews and have to admit I was a little bit apprehensive when my wife pointed them out to me. However, I needn't have worried. We called the mobile number which was very clearly displayed (previous reviews incorrectly state there was no information on how to contact staff), and very pleasant young lady came and showed us to our room. The room was clean, towel's were provided, there were hangers in the wardrobe (previous review says they weren't). There were a group of people cleaning cars, but not directly outside the rooms as has been suggested in one review, and they were clearly working as a legitimate business and certainly didn't make any approach to us. The Caravan's mentioned in another review clearly did not belong to the car washers, and had the reviewer taken the time to look, they were actually on sale, courtesy of a near by (you guessed it) Caravan Sales Company. The Takeaway within the complex was clean and we ate from there as the pub across the road was closed. The food was fine and the staff very pleasant. All in all our very brief stay was pleasant, the accommodation was fine, and I really don't understand some of the earlier, needlessly negative reviews. The Motel is advertised as no frills, it met our needs and was of a good standard. If you want the Ritz, you have to pay for it!

Lovely little place, family and dog friendly too!

A lovely little place that I’ve passed many times over the years and never really noticed. Will definitely be back now we know of it. Such a nice clean place and having your own front door is great too! Lovely friendly owners, can’t find one single fault with this place at all, thank you!

Great room, amazing staff but lack of heat

The staff here were amazing which is what pains me to be honest here. Despite the eye pleasing and clean room it was let down by th insufficient heating system. I arrived to an open window trying to clear the condensation out of the glass which ofcourse left the room cold and when I tried to heat the room back up with the electric heater it bust after 5 minutes and I spent the rest of my stay with a chill in the air. An unfortunate detail that spoilt what would of been a flawless experience

I liked the space within the room , plenty of room , but the cleaniness of the bedding wasn't good , smelt fusky and didnt smell fresh or clean because of the fusky smell.Duvet cover flat . A lthough at night it was cold i messaged the owner asking about heating because they were radiators within the room but nothing to turn them on with, the owner saying they come on automatically when under 22c & after looking on my phone's temperture it stated 10c and still no heating came on . Shower isn't good only small spray of water released .Im in the family room number 5. Small things like a rip near ceiling and bottom step on bunk bed either unscewed or broke but petty little things dont bother me , For me its the bedding and shower a disapiontment and the fact of cold at night and no heating to say owner said came on after 22c drop and didnt do so ..
