Was nice to have a family room with couches to relax on after staying in hotels all week. Nice kitchen area, both rooms had twin beds and black out curtains. Loved the views and watching the water from every room. Great restaurant retro Mathus just a short walk across the bridge.

Location is exceptional right in front of the body of water in the midst of peaceful surroundings. Views from the rooms are impeccable. Rooms in the apartment were large and clean. Beds were comfortable. Host was super responsive to our needs. Overall had a memorable stay.

We thought it was special that our room was attached to the local museum. While there isn’t a lot to do in the area, it’s very nice to walk around outside exploring after fixing our meal in the the lovely apartment.

Two night Stay

Unfortunately, Hotels.com glitches with three of the five hotels we booked in Iceland. I didn't have any check in details. Luckily my husband had connection and was able to get a hold of our host. The apartment is quirky. The door took a bit getting used to, because it is a paddle lock. The apartment could be considered dated but, we loved the location. My only regret is we were too busy exploring the area to soak in a meal on the patio. The river is right beside the deck. The rooms were spacious. It would have been helpful if there was an HDMI cord, as we didn't think to take one, and the TV cable wasn't in. We didn't worry too much about it though because we had lots to entertain ourselves. They had an amazing amount of books too.

Great place would return !

This is such a magical spot !! The host was communicative and helpful and the property was cozy and well equipped. Possibly the favorite point of our trip! Plenty of room to spread out. Had to deal with a handful of flies on arrival that were stuck inside or dead but there was a lil vacuum so not a big deal.

We really enjoyed staying in this very conveniently located and spacious property with so much history and marvelous views from the huge balcony. Should we have a chance, we'd stay there again.

True gem!

This is a beautiful quaint two bedroom apartment attached to the emigration museum and there is only one unit. It's right on the river as it enters the harbour, with great views and a nice deck/ patio as well and only a very short walk to a great restaurant (only one in town).

The apartment was spacious and well appointed with dishes and everything else we needed. The location was beautiful and quiet. There is a nice patio right on the water. We did not have any direct contact with the owner, but got a message abutv entering upon arrival. The only other thing that would have been helpful was a map to show the property area. It was a bit confusing when we arrived to find the door to the apartment as we weren't quite sure we were at the right building. Overall we had a very short, but lovely stay.

Large Apartment - Amazing View

Very large apartment with AMAZING view. We were concerned when looking at the property initially, because there was a bridge in the pictures - we are light sleepers and were concerned about road noise. Turns out, it’s a pedestrian bridge! Roaring river flowing straight out to the sea just outside the main bedroom. So lovely!! Quiet and private. So enjoyed the deck overlooking the river.

Traditional house on the fishermans warf

Wonderfull! A whole traditional house situated on the little fishermans warf. Full aquiped kitchen- A chance to make our own dinner. Highly recommended!
