We had a great stay at the Days Inn in Sioux Lookout. The hotel is 4 years old and has held up very well. We had 3 rooms between us. Everyone commented that the beds were super comfortable and the location really quiet. There is a small gym up on the second floor. The free breakfast was really good. Fresh pastries and bagels every day, fresh fruit, waffle maker, fresh squeezed orange juice, cereal, etc. Also hard boiled eggs and very tasty pre-made omelettes that just need warming up. The only disappointment was the free coffee (what do you want for free?!). The machine seems high tech enough, but the coffee was really tasteless. No matter, there is a Tim Hortons just down the road. This hotel was excellent value for the money. Highly recommended.

We stayed for multiple days and were very happy with our stay. It was clean, quiet and easy to get to. The staff were also accommodating and helpful.

Poor service and communication

Fwe were not allowed to stay. After checking all allowed amendies, the only thing we found was the hotel did not allow smoking. When we checked in we went to get our luggage, and our pet and we were stopped in the parking lot and told our pet was not allowed and would have to be left in the car. We checked the lobby and doors again and there still was no signs anywhere stating no pets allowed. The clerk said she did not know this until her manager told her and the manager refused to talk to us. We were forced to leave and was told we would be credited.

Fishing trip to Sioux Lookout

The motel itself was quite nice. Room was spacious and comfortable. The microwave did not work and when we asked someone came to look at it, and said yes it was broken. They would see if they could replace it. As far as I know they did not. Otherwise we were very pleased with our stay.

Upon check-in the front desk clerk was very aloof and did not even crack a smile or say hello. The housekeeper that we talked to was very friendly and the room was great, other than the previous guests toothbrush that was left on top of the towels!

A nice place

The staff was great. Attended to all my needs. Great experience no complaints. Hotel staff were quick and efficient. The Breakfast menu was very complete and an abundance of food.

You have to book the airport shuttle at the time of your booking in order for one to pick you up. Even though I requested a late check in because of a late arriving flight, the front desk worker informed me no shuttle driver was available and that I would have to pay for a taxi, out of my own pocket. When I checked-in, I immediately made sure to book a shuttle for my check-out. Day of check-out, no driver available again, and a taxi had to be used, but this one was covered by the hotel. However, it took 25min for a taxi to be available, cutting it close to my check-in time at the airport. Other than those events, the hotel was clean and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Good for a stopover.
